HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 2331 - Amend Title 13.0 ) ,,' ;' . . ~ ORDINANCE NO. 2331 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OFTHE CITY OF REDDING AMENDING REDDING MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 13.12.070 (WHEELED DEVICES IN POSTED AREAS) The City Council of the City of Redding does ordain as follows: Section 1. Redding Municipal Code S 13.12.070 (Wheeled Devices in Posted Areas) is hereby amended to read in its entirety as follows: 13.12.070 Wheeled Devices in Posted Areas. A. No person shall bicycle, roller skate, skateboard or use any other wheeled device propelled, in whole or in part, by human power in any public area posted against such activities or uses. The provisions of this section shall not apply to wheeled devices which are reasonably necessary to assist those with a temporary or permanent disability. B. The provisions of subsection (A) of this section shall apply to private propc;:rty open to the public if such property is conspicuously posted so as to give notice of the application ofthis section. When private property is posted, the owner shall execute, and have notarized, a "Consent to Enforcement" form which shall be kept on file at the police department. Section 2. If any section or subsection of this ordinance, or any portion thereof, is held to be invalid or unconstitutional for any reason, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any other section of subsection of this ordinance. Section 3. The passage ofthis ordinance is not a "project" according to the definition set forth in Public Resources Code S 21065 and is therefore not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act (Pub. Res. Code S 21000 et seq.). Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect 30 days after the date of its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause its publication according to law 1 ~ \}J \}J - "'" . . .
