The City Council Chambers are fully open to the public in compliance with current guidelines
from the California Department of Public Health regarding indoor meetings.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kristen Schreder with the following Council
Members present: Michael Dacquisto, Mark Mezzano, Erin Resner, and Julie Winter,
Also present were: City Manager Barry Tippin, Assistant City Manager Sheri DeMaagd, City
Attorney Barry DeWalt, and Executive Assistant Luisa Klapperich called the roll prior to
leaving the Closed Session meeting.
PUBLIC COMMENT
Mayor Schreder determined that no one present wished to address the items agendized for
Closed Session.
CLOSED SESSION
At the hour of 5:15 p.m., Mayor Schreder opened the Special Meeting and announced that the
Council would adjourn to Closed Session,
3A. Closed Session pursuant to California Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(1):
CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - EXISTING LITIGATION
Baker, et al. v. City of Redding, et al.; Shasta County Superior Court Case No. 192661
The City Council authorized the City Attorney to initiate litigation. Identity of the
defendant(s) and other information related to the case will be available for disclosure
once litigation begins.
3B. Closed Session pursuant to California Government Code Section 54957(b):
PUBLIC EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
Title: City Attorney
Pursuant to Government Code section 54957.I(a), the City Council took no reportable
action on this item.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Mayor Schreder declared the meeting adjourned at the hour
of 6:00 p.m.
