A RESOLUTION .,OF, THE CITY ' COUNCI'L pOF THE CITY OF REDDING OF
INTENTION TO BEGIN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS OF ABATEMENT UNDER
CHAPTER9-. 36OF THE REDDING MUNICIPAL CODE ON CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY-'IN THE .CITY 'OF REDDING (OWNED BY RUTH ANN HOHEISEL,
EVE SUZETTE' BROWN AND KAYE ARLETTE ;GAMA, AND LOCATED AT 3054
SCHOOL STREET) .

WHEREAS, the provisions of Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding
Muncipal Code provide that all buildings or structures located
within the City of Redding which are structurally unsafe .or are •
dilapidated from old age, neglect, decay or other causes which
constitute a fire menace or are dangerous to human life or a
likely resort for vagrant or dissolute persons, may be declared a
nuisance by the City Council of the City of Redding and there-
after abated as provided therein; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Marshal of the City of Redding has made an
inspection of the building located on real property as herein-
after described and has declared it to be unsafe and/or a hazard •
•to safety, health and public welfare; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is categor-
ically exempt from the provisions of CEQA;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redding that it is the intention of this City Council to
begin legal proceedings of abatement under Chapter 9. 36 of the
Redding Municipal Code on the following described property: •
The real property situate in the City of Redding, County of
Shasta, State of California, described as follows : ,
The Southerly 95. 00 feet of Tract 17 as shown on the map of t,k; .
Enterprise Subdivision recorded in the office of the County

• Recorder May 11 , 1939 in Book 5 of Maps at page 54 , Shasta
County Records.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said building mentioned
hereinabove is hereby declared to be a public nuisance as pro-
vided by Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding Municipal Code and is hereby
ordered to be abated by repair, rehabilitation, demolition or
removal.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Fire Marshal and the Board •
of Appeals of the City of Redding are hereby directed to take all
proceedings provided in Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding Municipal
Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of
• Redding be and hereby is authorized and directed to forward a
certified copy of this Resolution to theShasta County Recorder .
for recordation. ra
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the. foregoing Resolution' ;,was intro-
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
