A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
ESTABLISHING FEES FOR OVERCROWDING FOR THE SHASTA LAKE UNION
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Shasta Lake Union Elementary School District
has requested the City of Redding impose fees on development to
assist the district in overcrowding situations; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redding held a
public hearing on the overcrowding conditions of Shasta Lake
Union Elementary School District on May 21 , 1984 at its regular
meeting; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redding found that
the Shasta Lake Union Elementary School District was overcrowded
based upon the findings made by the Shasta County Superintendent
of Schools and the criteria found in Chapter 16 . 44 of the Redding
Municipal Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the following fee
schedule shall be effective with regard to new construction in
the City of Redding through June of 1985 as fees established for
the overcrowding conditions found in the Shasta Lake Union
Elementary School District:
1 . Dwelling units with three or more bedrooms : $1 , 415. 21
per unit;
2 . Dwelling units with two bedrooms: $707. 61 per unit; and
3 . Dwelling units with one bedroom or studio: $353. 80 per
unit.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was intro-
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Redding on the 2nd day of July 1984 , and
was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Fulton, Gard, & Kirkpatrick
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Demsher and Pugh
ABSTAIN: COUNCILMEN: None
