HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso. 1984 - 131 - Establishing a new employee classification schedule and salary plan and anew schedule of salaries for officers and exempt employees t. • 411 RESOLUTION NO. gy/5/ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING ESTABLISHING A NEW EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATION SCHEDULE AND SALARY PLAN AND A NEW SCHEDULE OF SALARIES FOR OFFICERS AND EXEMPT EMPLOYEES FOR FISCAL YEAR 1984-85 FOR EMPLOYEES OTHER THAN THOSE COVERED BY A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING, EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE NOTED. WHEREAS, the City Council has studied the current Employee Classification Schedule and Salary Plan for employees other than those covered by a Memorandum of Understanding (except as other- wise noted) ; and WHEREAS, staff has recommended amendments to City policies pertaining to employee classifications and salaries as indicated in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof ; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best inter- ests of the City to adopt a new Employee Classification Schedule and Salary Plan and a new Schedule of Salaries for Officers and Exempt Employees at this time ; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding as follows : 1 . Resolutions previously adopted which are in conflict with this Resolution are hereby rescinded and shall be of no further force and effect from and including July 1 , 1984 . 2 . The staff report entitled "Salary Plan for Fiscal Year 1984-85" and all provisions therein contained, attached hereto , is hereby approved as the City ' s policy for those employees set forth therein and shall be deemed effective July 1 , 1984 . 1 3 . The Employee Classification Schedule and Salary Plan and the Schedule of Salaries for Officers and Exempt Employees included in the aforesaid Exhibit "A" , attached hereto, are approved as the City ' s policy and shall be deemed effective July 1, 1984 .
