RESOLUTION NO. SV- 9S
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING IN
SUPPORT OF PROPOSITION 18 , A CALIFORNIA PARK AND RECREATION
FACILITIES ACT OF 1984.
WHEREAS, Proposition 18 , a $370 million Bond Act for park
and recreation facilities, will be on the June, 1984 primary
ballot; and
WHEREAS, passage of this proposition would directly affect
the City of Redding in the development of park and recreation
projects; and
WHEREAS, previous park and recreation bond acts and land and
water conservation funds have been instrumental in developing the
following City of Redding projects: Enterprise High School Swim
Complex, Caldwell Park, Sacramento River Trail, Turtle Bay
Acquisition, Buckeye Community Park and Alta Mesa Park Tennis
Courts; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the citizens of the
City of Redding for the City Council to support Proposition 18;
and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is not
subject to the provisions of CEQA;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redding to support the passage of Proposition 18 , a
California Park and Recreation Facilities Act of 1984, to appear
on the June, 1984 primary ballot, which will specifically benefit

the City of Redding in the development of park and recreation
facilities.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was intro-
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Redding on the 7th day of May , 1984 , and
was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Demsher, Fulton, Gard, Pugh, & Kirkpatrick
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None
