RESOLUTION NO. 9,/-46/RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
SUMMARILY VACATING PORTIONS OF CERTAIN EASEMENTS IN THE
SUNSET WEST SUBDIVISION.
WHEREAS, certain real property dedicated to the City of
Redding has been heretofore reserved for easement purposes and
the said property consists of 20-foot wide easements along the
property line common to Lots 4 and 5 and the easements along the
property line common to Lots 16 and 17 as the same is set forth
on map and plan on file in the office of the City Clerk of the
City of Redding and the City Council proposes to vacate 10 feet
on each side of the property lines of said easements which is
more particularly described in Exhibit "A" and depicted on
Exhibit "B" attached hereto, in accordance with the provisions of
the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law
(Streets and Highways Code, Section 8330 , et seq. ) ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redding finds and
determines that this summary vacation abandons that certain
portion of the offer of dedication recorded September 9 , 1983 in
Book 17 of Maps at page 20 , Shasta County Records;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redding
resolves and orders as follows:
1 . That the Council makes the following findings in
connection herewith:
(a) The project is compatible with the Redding General
Plan;

(b) The project will not significantly alter existing
land form;
(c) The project is compatible with surrounding land
use; and
(d) The project is compatible with the Redding Munici-
pal Code.
2. That certain real property in the City of Redding,
County of Shasta, State of California, being four easements , as
the same are more particularly described in Exhibit "A" and
depicted on Exhibit "B" attached hereto and incorporated herein,
10 feet on each side of the property lines are hereby vacated as
a portion of said easements , as shown on that certain map
recorded September 9, 1983 , in Book 17 of Maps at page 20 , Shasta
County Records.
4. That the City Clerk of the City of Redding be and
hereby is directed to record a certified copy of this resolution
attested by the City Clerk under the seal of the City of Redding,
in the office of the Shasta County Recorder.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was intro-
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Redding on the 5th day of March , 1984 , and
was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote:

NOES: COUNCILMEN: None

The southwest 10 feet of the northeast 20 feet of Lot 4 of the
Sunset West Subdivision in the City of Redding, County of Shasta,
State of California, as per map recorded in Book 17, page 20 of
Maps, Shasta County Records. EXCEPT the 5 feet southwesterly of
and coincident with the Sunkist Court right of way.
The northeast 10 feet of the southwest 20 feet of Lot 5 of the
Sunset West Subdivision in the City of Redding, County of Shasta,
State of California, as per map recorded in Book 17 , page 20 of
Maps, Shasta County Records. EXCEPT the 5 feet northwesterly of
and coincident with the Sunkist Court right of way.
The southeast 10 feet of the northwest 20 feet of Lot 16 of the
Sunset West Subdivision in the City of Redding, County of Shasta,
State of California, as per map recorded in Book 17 , page 20 of
Maps , Shasta County Records. EXCEPT the 5 feet southwesterly of
and coincident with the Sunlight Court right of way. ALSO EXCEPT
that portion within the open space as shown on said map.
