A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
APPROVING CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL TRAINING AGREEMENT NO.
42-83/84 WITH THE REDDING POLICE DEPARTMENT AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE SAME.
WHEREAS, the Department of California Highway Patrol
requires written training agreements from cities participating in
their training programs; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police has recommended that the City
of Redding participate in the motorcycle training program spon-
sored and administered by the California Highway Patrol; and
WHEREAS , the cost to the City of Redding for the participa-
tion by one officer in this program for the period March 5, 1984
through March 15 , 1984 will be the total sum of $1 , 030 . 25; and
WHEREAS, the California Highway Patrol requires a resolution
approving participation in said program; and
WHEREAS, after careful study and review, it is deemed by the
City Council to be in the best interests of the City of Redding
and its citizens for the Redding Police Department to participate
in such a program; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is not
subject to the provisions of CEQA;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that California Highway Patrol
Training Agreement No. 42-83/84 with the City of Redding for the
Redding Police Department is hereby approved and that the City
Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute said agree-
ment.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was intro-
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Redding on the 21st day of February , 1984 , and
was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote:
