HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso. 1984 - 003 - Summarily vacating redwood boulevard in the los robles hills subdivision r , 4 I RESOLUTION NO. -59- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING SUMMARILY VACATING REDWOOD BOULEVARD IN THE LOS ROBLES HILLS SUBDIVISION. WHEREAS, certain real property dedicated to the City of Redding has been heretofore reserved for street purposes and the said property consists of Redwood Boulevard as the same is set forth on map and plan on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Redding and the City Council proposes to vacate said street which is more particularly described in Exhibit "A" and depicted on Exhibit "B" attached hereto, in accordance with the provisions of the Public Streets , Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law (Streets and Highways Code, Section 8330 , et seq. ) ; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redding finds and determines that this summary vacation abandons that certain portion of the offer of dedication as described in Book 1205, page 603, Official Records of Shasta County, lying outside of the boundaries of Redwood Boulevard as shown on that certain map of Los Robles Hills Subdivision, Unit 1 , recorded November 4 , 1983 in Book 17 of Maps at page 26 , Shasta County Records; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redding resolves and orders as follows : 1 . That the Council makes the following findings in connection herewith: (a) The project is compatible with the Redding General Plan; (b) The project will not significantly alter existing land form; (c) The project is compatible with surrounding land use; and (d) The project is compatible with the Redding Munici- pal Code. 2. The Council previously ratified the negative declara- tion approved by the Board of Administrative Review on September 8 , 1981. 3 . That certain real property in the City of Redding, County of Shasta, State of California, being Redwood Boulevard, as the same is more particularly described in Exhibit "A" and depicted on Exhibit "B" attached hereto and incorporated herein, is hereby vacated as a public street, only as to those portions which lie outside of the boundaries of Redwood Boulevard as shown on that certain map of Los Robles Hills Subdivision, Unit No. 1 , recorded November 4 , 1983 , in Book 17 of Maps at page 26 , Shasta County Records. 4 . That the City Clerk of the City of Redding be and hereby is directed to record a certified copy of this resolution attested by the City Clerk under the seal of the City of Redding, in the office of the Shasta County Recorder.
