RESOLUTION NO. -59-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
SUMMARILY VACATING REDWOOD BOULEVARD IN THE LOS ROBLES HILLS
SUBDIVISION.
WHEREAS, certain real property dedicated to the City of
Redding has been heretofore reserved for street purposes and the
said property consists of Redwood Boulevard as the same is set
forth on map and plan on file in the office of the City Clerk of
the City of Redding and the City Council proposes to vacate said
street which is more particularly described in Exhibit "A" and
depicted on Exhibit "B" attached hereto, in accordance with the
provisions of the Public Streets , Highways and Service Easements
Vacation Law (Streets and Highways Code, Section 8330 , et seq. ) ;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redding finds and
determines that this summary vacation abandons that certain
portion of the offer of dedication as described in Book 1205,
page 603, Official Records of Shasta County, lying outside of the
boundaries of Redwood Boulevard as shown on that certain map of
Los Robles Hills Subdivision, Unit 1 , recorded November 4 , 1983
in Book 17 of Maps at page 26 , Shasta County Records;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redding
resolves and orders as follows :
1 . That the Council makes the following findings in
connection herewith:
(a) The project is compatible with the Redding General
Plan;
(b) The project will not significantly alter existing
land form;
(c) The project is compatible with surrounding land
use; and
(d) The project is compatible with the Redding Munici-
pal Code.
2. The Council previously ratified the negative declara-
tion approved by the Board of Administrative Review on September
8 , 1981.
3 . That certain real property in the City of Redding,
County of Shasta, State of California, being Redwood Boulevard,
as the same is more particularly described in Exhibit "A" and
depicted on Exhibit "B" attached hereto and incorporated herein,
is hereby vacated as a public street, only as to those portions
which lie outside of the boundaries of Redwood Boulevard as shown
on that certain map of Los Robles Hills Subdivision, Unit No. 1 ,
recorded November 4 , 1983 , in Book 17 of Maps at page 26 , Shasta
County Records.
4 . That the City Clerk of the City of Redding be and
hereby is directed to record a certified copy of this resolution
attested by the City Clerk under the seal of the City of Redding,
in the office of the Shasta County Recorder.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was intro-
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Redding on the 3rd day of January , 1984 , and
was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Demsher, Fulton, Kirkpatrick, and Gard
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Pugh

EXHIBIT "A"
A strip of land, 60 . 00 feet in width situate in the east one-half
of Section 24 , Township 32 North, Range 5 West, M.D.M. , County of
Shasta, State of California, and lying 30. 00 feet on each side of
the following described centerline:
Beginning at a point on the westerly line of State Highway 273
opposite Engineer ' s Station B2 115+00 , also being on the center-
line of Twin View Boulevard extended westerly and running thence
from said point of beginning northerly from a tangent that bears
N. 74°09 ' 00" W. on a 50. 00-foot radius curve to the right through
a central angle of 120°00 ' 00" , a distance of 104 . 72 feet; thence
on a tangent 99. 27-foot radius curve to the left through a
central angle of 30°00 ' 00" , a distance of 51 . 98 feet; thence N.
15°51 ' 00" E. , parallel with and distant westerly 30 . 00 feet at
right angles to said westerly line of State Highway 273 , a
distance of 640 . 00 feet; thence leaving said parallel line on a
300. 00-foot radius curve to the left through a central angle of
34°06 ' 23" , a distance of 178 . 58 feet; thence N. 18°15 ' 23" W. ,
240 . 78 feet; thence on a 300 . 00-foot radius curve to the right
through a central angle of 33°53 ' 37" , a distance of 177. 47 feet;
thence N. 15°38 ' 14" E. , 268 . 73 feet; thence on a 300. 00-foot
radius curve to the left through a central angle of 89°41 ' 14" , a
distance of 469 . 60 feet; thence N. 74°03 ' 00" W. , 408 . 07 feet;
thence on a 300 . 00-foot radius curve to the right through a
central angle of 42°00 ' 00" , a distance of 219. 91 feet; thence
N. 32°03 ' 00" W. , 170. 00 feet; thence on a 300. 00-foot radius curve
to the left through a central angle of 24°00 ' 00" , a distance of
125 . 66 feet; thence N. 56°03 ' 00" W. , 900 . 00 feet to a point on
the north line of said Section 24, distant thereon N. 88°07 ' 30"
E. , 650. 00 feet from the north one-quarter corner of said Section
24 , said point also being the southerly termination of the
centerline of Redwood Boulevard as shown on the map of Mount
Vista Subdivision recorded in Book 14 of Maps at page 42 , Records
of Shasta County.
The side lines of said strip of land to be lengthened or short-
ened to begin on said westerly line of State Highway 273 and
terminate on said north line of Section 24.
