S-` _,S A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF FOUR EASEMENTS IN THE SUNSET WEST SUBDIVISION (A-14-84) . WHEREAS, proceedings have been duly conducted and held in accordance with the provisions of the Public Streets , Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law, Streets and Highways Code §8300 , et seq. ; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redding finds and determines that the hereinafter described real property is not necessary for present or prospective easement purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redding hereby resolves and orders as follows: 1 . That the City Council make the following findings in connection herewith: (a) The project is compatible with the Redding General Plan; (b) The project will not significantly alter the existing land form; (c) The project is compatible with the surrounding land use; (d) The project is compatible with the Redding Munici- pal Code; and the City Council hereby ratifies the Negative Declaration authorized by the Board of Administrative Review on December 26 , 1984, 2 . That certain real property in the City of Redding, County of Shasta, State of California, being the easements at 820 • and 809 Sunkist Court and 3778 and 3781 Sunlight Court, and as the same are more particularly described in Exhibit "A" and as illustrated in Exhibit "B" attached hereto and incorporated herein, be and the same hereby is vacated and abandoned as easements, subject to the following condition: a. Retention of a ten-foot public utility easement at these locations. 3 . That the City Clerk of the City of Redding be and hereby is directed to record a certified copy of this resolution, attested to by the City Clerk under the seal of the City of Redding, in the office of the Shasta County Recorder. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was intro- duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Redding on the 18th day of March , 1985 , and was adopted at said meeting by the following vote: AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Demsher, Fulton, Gard, and Kirkpatrick NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Pugh ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None HOWARD D. Except the 5 foot wide strip of land lying northwesterly of and adjacent to the Sunkist Court right of way. The northeast 10 feet of the southwest 20 feet of Lot 5 of the Sunset West Subdivision in the City. of Redding, County of Shasta, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 17 , Page 20 of Maps , Shasta County Records. Except the 5 foot wide strip of land lying northwesterly of and adjacent to the Sunkist Court right of way. The southeast 10 feet of the northwest 20 feet of Lot 16 of the Sunset West Subdivision in the City of Redding, County of Shasta, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 17, Page 20 of Maps, Shasta County Records. Except the 5 foot wide strip of land lying southwesterly of and adjacent to the Sunlight Court • right of way. Also except that portion lying within the open space easement as shown on said map. The northwest 10 feet of the southeast 20 feet of Lot 17 of the Sunset West Subdivision in the City of Redding, County of Shasta, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 17 , Page 20 of Maps, Shasta County Records . Except the 5 feet northwesterly of and adjacent to the Sunlight Court right of way.
