RESOLUTION NO. 85--2g
RESOLUTION OVERRULING PROTESTS
VICTOR AVENUE BRIDGE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 1983-9
The City Council of the City of Redding resolves:
On December 17 , 1984 , the City Council held a public
hearing on the resolution of intention and the engineer ' s report
on the proposed improvement in Victor Avenue Bridge Assessment
District No. 1983-9 . On February 4 , 1985 , the Council reopened
the public hearing to provide a further opportunity for property
owners to present objections and to provide an opportunity for
the Engineer of Work, City staff and bond counsel to respond.
At or before the time set for the original hearing and
the time set for the reopened hearing, certain interested
persons made protests or objections to the proposed improvement,
the extent of the assessment district or the proposed
assessment.
The City Council hereby overrules each of these
protests , written or oral.
The City Council finds that the protest against the
proposed improvement (including all written protests not
withdrawn in writing before the conclusion of the protest
hearing) is made by the owners of less than one-half of the area
of the land to be assessed for the improvement.
