SUBJECT Proposed Purchase - Analysis and Recommendation
Re: Bid Schedule Number 1839 , Uninterruptible
Power Supply System - Supplemental Appropriation
An uninterruptible power supply system is being installed at the
City of Redding Police Building. Phase I of this project includes
a motor generator unit. This unit was purchased in 1985/86 at a
cost of $42, 000. 00.
Phase II cost will include air conditioning modifications and
electrical modifications . The revised estimate for the cost of
this work exceeds the initial estimate.
It is recommended that the contract be awarded for the electrical
modifications and installation to the sole bidder H and H
Electric, in the amount of $26, 900 . 00 and that the accompanying
resolution for the required supplemental appropriation be approved
in the amount of $7,000.00.
Respectfully submitted,
& /d, .
