Ilk RESOLUTION NO. 8c-mrd A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING PROHIBITING PARKING AT ALL TIMES ALONG THE NORTH CURB LINE OF PLACER STREET FROM CHESTNUT STREET EASTERLY 100 FEET. WHEREAS, Section 11 . 24 . 040 of the Redding Municipal Code specifically provides that the City Council may designate , by Resolution, additional areas unsuitable, dangerous or incon- venient for parking purposes; and WHEREAS, the Traffic and Parking Commission has recommended parking be prohibited at all times along the north curb line of Placer Street from Chestnut Street Easterly 100 feet to increase motorist sight distance; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered such recommendation and deems it to be in the best interests of the City to adopt same; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is categor- ically exempt from the provisions of CEOA; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding as follows: 1 . That parking is prohibited at all times along the north curb line of Placer Street from Chestnut Street easterly 100 feet. 2 . That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to install appropriate signs and markings to 41 "' S accomplish the purpose of this Resolution. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was introduced and read at a meeting of the City Council of the City of Redding on the 7th day of July , 1986 , and was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote: AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Carter, Dahl , Gard, & Ful ton NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Johannessen ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None LEE D.
