RESOLUTION NO. 'ftHo 1
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING OF
INTENTION TO BEGIN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS OF ABATEMENT UNDER
CHAPTER 9. 36 OF THE REDDING MUNICIPAL CODE ON CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF REDDING (OWNED BY YOUNG SOO KIM AND
JOUNG HOON KIM AT 2915 MARKET STREET (Townhouse Lodge) ) .
WHEREAS, the provisions of Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding
Municipal Code provide that all buildings or structures located
within the City of Redding which are structurally unsafe or are
dilapidated from old age, neglect, decay or other causes which
constitute a fire menace or are dangerous to human life or a
likely resort for vagrant or dissolute persons , may be declared a
nuisance by the City Council of the City of Redding and there-
after abated as provided therein; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Marshal of the City of Redding has made an
inspection of the building located on real property as herein-
after described and has declared it to be unsafe and/or a hazard
to safety, health and public welfare; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is categor-
ically exempt from the provisions of CEQA;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redding that it is the intention of this City Council to
begin legal proceedings of abatement under Chapter 9. 36 of the
Redding Municipal Code on the following described property:
The real property situate in the City of Redding, County of

Shasta, State of California, described as follows:
Parcel 1 :
Lots 1 , 2, . 3 , 16 , 17 , 18 and 19 in Block 11 as shown on the
map of Park Subdivision, recorded in the of_filce of the
County Recorder May 25 , 1936 in Book 5 of Maps at page 12,
Shasta County Records.
Parcel 2 :
That portion of the alley in Block 11 , as shown on the map
entitled "Map of Park Subdivision, City of Redding, Shasta
County, California. , " particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the South line of
Fell Street with the West line of said alley, aas shown on
said map; thence, Southerly along the West line of said
alley, 75 feet; thence, at right angles Easterly 10 feet;
thence, at right angles Southerly 125 feet; thence, at right
angles Easterly 10 feet to the East line of said alley;
thence, Northerly along the East line of said alley, 200
feet to the South line of Fell Street; thence, Westerly
along said line of Fell Street, 20 feet to, point of
beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said building mentioned herein-
above is hereby declared to be a public nuisance as provided by
Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding Municipal Code and is hereby ordered
to be abated by repair, rehabilitation, demolition or removal.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Fire Marshal and the Board
of Appeals of the City of Redding are hereby directed to take all
proceedings provided in Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding Municipal
Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of
Redding be and hereby is authorized and directed to forward a
certified copy of this resolution to the Shasta County Recorder
for recordation.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was intro-

duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Redding on the 16th day of June , 1986 , and
was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote•
