MIN.PAST 44.0 OFFICIAL RRECOECORDS SHASTA COUNTY.CALIF �lQ��f4�+J � ` I `' P c o�` MAR 3 1986 C RESOLUTION NO. g - 54 aitvfx- RECORDER-FEE$ . r A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING OF INTENTION TO BEGIN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS OF ABATEMENT UNDER CHAPTER 9. 36 OF THE REDDING MUNICIPAL CODE ON CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF REDDING, LOCATED AT 2660 RUSSELL STREET (OWNED BY VICTOR PAUL FORWARD) . WHEREAS, the provisions of Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding Municipal Code provide that all buildings or structures located within the City of Redding which are structurally unsafe or are dilapidated from old age, neglect, decay or other causes which constitute a fire menace or are dangerous to human life or a likely resort for vagrant or dissolute persons, may be declared a nuisance by the City Council of the City of Redding and there- 1i after abated as provided therein; and WHEREAS, the Fire Marshal of the City of Redding has made an inspection of the buildings located on the real property as hereinafter described and has declared them to be unsafe and/or a hazard to safety, health and public welfare; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is categor- ically exempt from the provisions of CEQA; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding that it is the intention of this City Council to BO K2r 12 E 637 • I 1111 II begin legal proceedings of abatement under Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding Municipal Code on the following described property: The real property situate in the City of Redding, County of Shasta, State of California, described as follows COMMENCING at a 6" x 6" concrete monument marking the South boundary of the City of Redding and designated adEngr. Sta. 106 plus 49. 37 on that certain map recorded inlBook 5 of Land Surveys, Page 36 , Records of Shasta County, and running thence South 14°51 ' 11" West 26 . 40 feet; thence North 56°21 ' 58" West 525. 0 feet; thence South 33°38 ' Of2" feet to the true point of beginning of this description: BEGINNING at said point and running thence South 56°21 ' 58" East 137 . 5 feet; thence South 33°38 ' 02" West 106 . 0 feet; thence North 56°21 ' 58" West 137 . 5 feet; thence North 33°38 ' 02" East 106 . 0 feet to the point of beginning, being a portion of the Adams Tract. EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion described in the Deed to Steve Obradovich recorded July 23 , 1971, in Book 1077 of Official Records at page 110 , Shasta County Records. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said buildings mentioned herein- above are hereby declared to be a public nuisance as provided by Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding Municipal Code and are hereby ordered to be abated by repair, rehabilitation, demolition or removal. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Fire Marshal and the Board of Appeals of the City of Redding are hereby directed to take all proceedings provided in Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding Municipal Code.
