A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDITGG OF
INTENTION TO BEGIN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS OF ABATEMENT UNDER
CHAPTER 9. 36 OF THE REDDING MUNICIPAL CODE ON CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF REDDING (OWNED 1BY MARTHA
BROCKSCHMIDT) .
WHEREAS, the provisions of Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding
Municipal Code provide that all buildings or structues located
within the City of Redding which are structurally unsafe or are
dilapidated from old age, neglect, decay or other causes which
constitute a fire menace or are dangerous to human ii life or a
likely resort for vagrant or dissolute persons, may beideclared a
nuisance by the City Council of the City of Redding land there-
after abated as provided therein; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Marshal of the City of Redding has made an
inspection of the building located on real property las herein-
after described and has declared it to be unsafe and/or a hazard
to safety, health and public welfare; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is categor-
ically exempt from the provisions of CEQA;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redding that it is the intention of this City ; Council to
begin legal proceedings of abatement under Chapter 9. 36 of the
Redding Municipal Code on the property described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and made a part hereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said building mentioned herein-
above is hereby declared to be a public nuisance as provided by

Chapter 9 . 36 of the Redding Municipal Code and is hereby ordered
to be abated by repair, rehabilitation, demolition or removal.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Fire Marshal and the Board
of Appeals of the City of Redding are hereby directed to take all
proceedings provided in Chapter 9. 36 of the Redding Municipal
Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of
Redding be and hereby is authorized and directed to forward a
certified copy of this Resolution to the Shasta County Recorder
for recordation. i
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro-

duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Redding on the 1st day of September ,: 1987 , and
was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote

The real property referred to herein is situate in the
City of Redding, County of Shasta, State of California, described
as follows:
PARCEL 1:
That portion of the Southeast quarter of Section 7, Township 32
North, Range 4 West, M.D.M. , described as follows:
COMMENCING at the quarter corner common to Sections 7 and 118, Township
32 North, Range 4 West, M.D.B.&M. , and running thence, North 7°36'48"
East a distance of 1635. 76 feet; thence, South 69°24 ' East ,a distance
of 217.60 feet; thence, North 20°36' East a distance of 17.45 feet
to an iron pipe; thence, North 75°07 ' East a distance of 64.87 feet
to the true point of beginning of this description; thence, South
14°53' East a distance of 140.00 feet; thence, North 75°07'' East
a distance of 225.00 feet; thence, North 14°53' West, a dis;`tance
of 140.00 feet; thence, South 75°07' West a distance of 225.00 feet
to the point of beginning.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM any portion thereof lying within Lot 9 shown
on the map of Eddy Subdivision filed January 25, 1955, Book 9 of
Maps, page 14, Shasta County Records.
ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion described in Deed to the State
of California recorded May 10, 1965, Book 835, Official Records,
page 134, Shasta County Records.
ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion lying within the land'ldescribed
in Deed to the State of California recorded December 14, 1964, Book
815, Official Records, page 640, Shasta County Records.

That portion of the parcel of land in the Southwest quarter� of the
Northwest quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 7, Township
32 North, Range 4 West, M.D.M. ; as conveyed by the Deed recorded
in Book 281, Official Records, page 170, Shasta County Records,
described as follows:
COMMENCING at a point from which that certain monument identified
as "BS" 230+00.000 P.O.T. , as shown on the map entitled "Survey
of a Control Line for State Highway Purposes" recorded January 17,
1964, Book 30 of Land Surveys, page 76, Shasta County Records, bears
South 78°21 '27" West, 745.66 feet; thence, South 73°54' 32" East,
122 feet to a point on the Northerly line of said lands coneyed,
being the true point of beginning of this description; thence, continuing
South 73°54 ' 32" East, 97 feet, more or less, to the East line of
said Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of the Southeast
quarter; thence, along said East line, Northerly 50 feet toisaid
Northerly line; thence, along said Northerly line, Westerlr95 feet
to the true point of beginning.
