RESOLUTION NO. 87-213
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 86-147, PARTIALLY AMENDED BY
RESOLUTION NOS. 87-12, 87-48 , 87-115 and 87-212 , BY (1)
DELETING THE SCHEDULE OF SALARIES FOR OFFICERS AND EXEMPT
EMPLOYEES EFFECTIVE JULY 12 , 1987 (EXHIBIT "A") ; AND (2)
IMMEDIATELY THEREAFTER ESTABLISHING A NEW EXECUTIVE
MANAGEMENT PAY-FOR-PERFORMANCE SALARY PLAN EFFECTIVE
JULY 12, 1987 (EXHIBIT "C") .
A
WHEREAS, City Council has studied the current Schedule of
Salaries for Officers and Exempt Employees as previously
established by Resolution No. 86-147, and partially amended by
Resolution Nos. 87-12, 87-48 and 87-115; and
WHEREAS, on July 14 , 1987, Resolution No. 86-147 was further
amended by Resolution No. 87-212 by establishing a new Schedule
of Salaries for Officers and Exempt Employees effective July 12,
1987 , a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and
incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS, staff has recommended that Resolution No. 86-147 ,
partially amended by Resolution Nos. 87-12 , 87-48 , 87-115 and
87-212, be further amended by:
(1) deleting the Schedule of Salaries for Officers and 0

87-212 , and outlined in Exhibit "A" attached hereto;
and
(2) immediately thereafter establishing a new Executive
Management Pay-for-Performance Salary Plan, effective
July 12 , 1987 , a copy of which is attached hereto as

Exhibit "C" and incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS , City Council deems it to be in the best interests
of the City of Redding to adopt such recommendation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redding as follows: VJ

1 . That Resolution No. 86-147 , partially amended by
Resolution Nos . 87-12 , 87-48 , 87-115 and 87-212 , is hereby
further amended by:
(a) deleting the Schedule of Salaries for Officers and
Exempt Employees effective July 12, 1987 , as approved
by City Council on July 14 , 1987 , under Resolution No.
87-212 , and outlined in Exhibit "A" attached hereto;
and
(b) immediately thereafter establishing a new Executive
Management Pay-for-Performance Salary Plan, effective
July 12 , 1987, a copy of which is attached hereto as
Exhibit "C" and incorporated herein by reference.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced and read at anigaaardmeeting of the City Council of
the City of Redding on the 14th day of July, 1987 , and was duly
adopted at said meeting by the following vote :
