RESOLUTION NO. J77-/153
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
APPROVING PROGRAM SUPPLEMENT NOS. 16 AND 17 TO THE LOCAL
AGENCY/STATE AGREEMENT FOR FEDERAL-AID PROJECTS NO. 2-5068
ENTERED INTO BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDDING AND THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO SIGN ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTATION.
WHEREAS, a Master Agreement between Caltrans and the City of
Redding providing administrative guidelines pertinent to Federal-
Aid Projects was entered into on July 5 , 1977; and
WHEREAS, 15 individual projects have been cooperatively
constructed; and
WHEREAS, two current supplements--No. 16 for the Sacramento
River bridge crossing west of Diestlehorst, and No. 17 for the
South Street/ACID Bridge—require City Council approval; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Department of
Public Works that Supplement Nos . 16 and 17 be approved; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interests of the
City of Redding to approve said Supplements;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Redding as follows:
1 . That the City Council of the City of Redding hereby
approves Supplement Nos. 16 and 17 to the Local Agency-State
Agreement for Federal-Aid Projects No. 2-5068, copies of which
are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference; and
2 . That the Mayor of the City of Redding is hereby
authorized and directed to sign said Supplements and all

necessary documentation on behalf of the City of Redding in
connection therewith, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to attest the signature of the Mayor and to impress the
official seal of the City of Redding on the aforesaid documents,
when appropriate.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Redding on the 19th day of May , 1987, and was
duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote:

FOR FEDERAL-AID PROJECTS NO. DATE: 4-6-87
This Program Supplement is hereby incorporated into the Local Agency-State Agreement
for Federal-Aid which was entered into between the LOCAL AGENCY and the STATE on
7-5-77 and is subject to all the terms and conditions thereof. This Program
Supplement is adopted in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Article II of the aforementioned
Master Agreement under authority of Resolution No. , approved by the
LOCAL AGENCY on (See copy attached).
The Local Agency further stipulates that as a condition to payment of funds obligated to this project,
• it accepts and will comply with the convenants or remarks set forth on the following pages•

SPECIAL COVENANTS OR REMARKS
1 . All maintenance, involving the physical condition and
the operation of the improvements, referred to in Article VI
MAINTENANCE of the aforementioned Master Agreement will
be performed by the Local Agency at regular intervals
or as required for efficient operation of the completed
improvements .
2 . In executing this Program Supplemental Agreement the Local
Agency hereby reaffirms the "Nondiscrimination Assurances"
contained in the aforementioned Master Agreement for Federal-
Aid Programs.
3 . The Local Agency agrees the payment of Federal funds will
be limited to the Detail Estimate amounts approved by
the Federal Highway Administration in the Federal-Aid
Project Agreement (PR-2 ) , or its modification (PR-2A) ,
and accepts any increases in Exchange Funds , State Matching
Funds , and/or Local Agency Funds as shown on the Finance
or Bid Letter or its modification as prepared by the Division
of Local Streets and Roads.
4 . For Repayment of Advanced FAS funds , the County agrees
the amount of FAS funds advanced will be deducted from
the County ' s share of the 1986-87 Apportionment to California
after acceptance by the Board of Supervisors . The County
also agrees that if FAS funds are not available for refund
by January 1, 1987 , the State , acting through the State
Controller ' s Office, will deduct a sum equal to the amount
of advanced FAS funds from Gas Tax Revenues due to the
County.
