HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso. 1987 - 151 - Approving the installment payment agreement between the city of redding and international business machines corporations • 411 RESOLUTION NO. f--7-/.4i ,/ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING APPROVING THE INSTALLMENT PAYMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDDING AND INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATION TO PURCHASE A DISK DRIVE TO INCREASE THE STORAGE CAPACITY OF THE DATA PROCESSING DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTATION. WHEREAS, the Data Processing Department maintains on-line database information systems such as Business Licenses; Dog Licenses; information for the Utility Customer Services, Building and Treasurer Departments; and a full range of accounting records; and WHEREAS , the disk drive (internal storage) of the Data Processing Department has reached 86% of full utilization; and WHEREAS, the Director of Data Processing has recommended increasing the internal storage by purchasing an additional disk drive at a cost of $30 , 508. 50 , to be paid in 60 installments of $485. 19 per month; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding as follows: 1 . That the City Council of the City of Redding hereby approves the Installment Payment Agreement No. G720172 dated April 21 , 1987, between the City of Redding and International Business Machines Corporation, a true copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, on the terms and conditions stated therein; and , °C, 1 g "t • III . 2. That the Mayor of the City of Redding is hereby authorized and directed to sign said Agreement and all necessary documentation on behalf of the City of Redding in connection therewith, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to attest the signature of the Mayor and to impress the official seal of the City of Redding on the aforesaid documents, when appropriate.
