A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF 54. 31 FEET OF
SURPLUS STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY ADJACENT TO 823 TWIN VIEW
BOULEVARD (A-14-86) .
WHEREAS, proceedings have been duly conducted and held in
accordance with the provisions of the Public Streets, Highways
and Service Easements Vacation Law, Streets and Highways Code
58300 , et seq. ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redding finds and
determines that, provided the condition contained in paragraph 2
hereof is met, the hereinafter described real property is not
necessary for present or prospective street right-of-way
purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redding
hereby resolves and orders as follows :
1 . That the City Council makes the following findings in
connection herewith:
(a) The project is compatible with the Redding General
Plan;
(b) The project will not significantly alter the
existing land form;
(c) The project is compatible with the surrounding
land use; and

(d) The project is compatible with the Redding
Municipal Code.
2 . That as a condition of Resolution No. 87-98, the
adjacent property owner was to enter into a deferred improvement
agreement to construct vertical curb, gutter and sidewalk, and
install the necessary aggregate base and asphalt concrete
surfacing between the gutter and the traveled lane at the time of
further development of the adjacent property. Provided said
deferred improvement agreement has been fully executed, that
certain 54 . 31 feet of surplus street right-of-way adjacent to 823
Twin View Boulevard, in the City of Redding, County of Shasta,
State of California, as the same is more particularly described
in Exhibit "A" and as illustrated in Exhibit "B" attached hereto
and incorporated herein, be and the same is hereby vacated and
abandoned as a street right-of-way, subject to the City retaining
easements on all sewer, water, electric, telephone and cable
utilities.
3. That the City Clerk of the City of Redding be and
hereby is directed to record a certified copy of this Resolution,
attested to by the City Clerk under the seal of the City of
Redding, in the office of the Shasta County Recorder.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of

the City of Redding on the 5th day of May , 1987 , and was
adopted at said meeting by the following vote:

BEGINNING at the most Westerly corner of Parcel 2, as shown
on Parcel Map No. 94-83 filed September 22, 1986 , in Book 25
of Parcel Maps at page 168, Shasta County Records, and
running along the exterior boundary line of said Parcel 2 ,
South 61°06 ' 00" East, 58. 00 feet; thence continuing along
said exterior boundary line South 28°54 ' 00" West, 54. 31
feet; thence running along the Westerly prolongation of the
Southerly line of said Parcel 2, North 61°06 ' 00" West, 58 . 00
