A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL (�F THE CITY OF REDDII�IG
APPROVING TIIE REP4RT OF THE ENGINEER AS FILED AND
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TOr
1. SET A PUBLIC' HEARING DATE REGARDING THE FOLLOWING
LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICTS D, E,F, G,H,Hl, J,K,L,M,

2. LEVY AND C4LLECT ASSESSMENTS IN THESE DISTRICTS FOR
FISCAL YEAR 2Q22-23 PURSUANT TO THE LAIYDSCAPING AND
LIGHTING ACT OF 1972, C(JMMENCING WITH SECTION 22500 QF
THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CC)DE OF THE STATE OF
CALIFCIRNIA
WHEREAS:
A. The City Cauncil heretofore ordered the consolidated formatiQn of the Landscape Maintenance
Districts under authority granted by the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 as outlined in Part
2 of Division 15 of the Streets and Highways Code af the State of Califomia.
B. The purpose af these Districts is to provide maintenance to those landscaping improvements
required within the publie rights-of-way and/or easements by the canditions af development
approval for each Distriat and the general ioeations as outlined in the table belaw.
C, The Engineer has �led his report with the City Cl�rk aceording to Streets and Highways Code
Section 22565, et seq.
D. This Resolutiion is made to satisfy those requirements autlined in the Streets and Highways Code
Seetion 22624.
E. The assessments for the Fiscal ITear 2022-23 are not an increase within the meaning of Streets
and Highways Code §22624 and 2263Q.5 because the eost af living adjustment provided for
herein was approved at the time of the formation of the Districts.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESQLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL THAT.
1. The matters set forth above are true, correct, and are adopted herein. �

2. According to the Streets and Highways Code §22623, the Engineer`s Report as filed is hereby �
approved. �
�
3. The Bngineer's Reports, on �le with the Ciry Clerk, contain a complete and detailed description
of the improvements, the boundaries af the District and any zones therein, and the propased �
assessments upan the assessable acres and remaining parcels within the districts. �
�

4. The existing improvements for each subdivision in the Districts are outlined in Part B of the
Engineer's Reports on file with the City Clerk.
5. The general laeations of the acres and remaining parcels in the Distriet are outlined in Part A of
the Engineer's Reports on fi1e with the City Clerk,
6. Only costs for the maintenance of landscaping, miscellaneous lighting, mulching, vandalism,
repairs to the irrigation system, electric and water charges, replacement of vegetation as
necessary, removal of trimmings, rubbish, and debris, maintenance of the detention basin, and
other impravements �o remove or cover graf�ti, administrative costs, painting of any wa11s, and
such other maintenance and incidental expenses as are autharized by Streets and Highways Cade
Sections 22526 and 22531,will be assessed.
7. A publio hearing will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at the hour of 6:00 p.m., ar as soon
thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the City Council Cham6ers located at 7�� Cypress
Avenue, Redding, California, to address the confirmation and approval of the proposed
assessment for the Fiscal Year ZQ22-23. The proposed assessment far the Fiscal Year 2022-23 is
outlined in the table below. The CQuncil intends to levy said assessment in the amaunt also
indicated in the table belaw for the Fiscal Year 2022-23.
8. The City C1erk sha11 give notice of said hearing aceording ta the Streets and Highways Code
Section 22626{a}.
