A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY C}F F:EDDING ADOPTING THE LIST
4F PROJECTS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022-23 FUNDED BY SB 1: THE
ROAD REPAIR AND ACCOUNTABILITY ACT OF 2Q1'7
WIIEREAS, Senate F3i11 1 {SB 1), the Road Repair and Accc�untability Act of 2017 {Chapter 5,
Statutes af 201?) was passed by the I.,egislature and Signed into law by the Governor in Apri�
20I7 in order to address the significant multi-modal transportation funding shortfalls statewide;
and
WHEREAS, SB I includes aecauntability and transparency provisions that will ensure the
residents of the City of Redding (City) are aware of the projects proposed for funding in our
community and which prQjects have been completed each fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the City must include a list of a11 projects (Attachment A) proposed to receive
funding from the Raad Maintenance and Rehabilitation Aecounf {RMR�-1), ereated by SB 1, in
the City budget, which must include a description and the locatian of each proposed project, a
proposed schedule for the project's completion, and the estimated useful life of the improvement;
and
WHEREAS, the City, will receive an estimated $2,090,612 in RMRA funding in Fiscal Year
2022-23 from SB 1; and
WHEREAS,this is the fifth year in whieh the City is receiving SB 1 funding and will enable the
City to continue essential road maintenance and rehabilitation projects, safety improvements,
increasing access and mobility options for the traveling public that wou�d not have otherwise been
possib�e without SB l; and
WHEREAS,the City has undergone a public process to ensure�aublic input into our community's
project list; and
WHEREAS, the City used a Pavement Management System to develop portions of the SB 1
project list to ensure revenues are being used on the mast high-pri�rity and cost-effective projects
that also meet the community's priorities for transportation investment; and
WFIEREAS, the funding from SB 1 will help the City maintain and rehabilitate streets and roads
and add active transportation infrastructure throughout the City this year and numerous similar
projects into the future; and

WI-�EREAS, the SB 1 project list and overall investment in our local streets and roads �
infrastructure with a focus on basic maintenance and safety, investing in complete streets �
infrastructure, and using cutting-edge technology, materials and practices, wili have signi�cant �
pasitive co-beneftts statewide; �.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council of Redding, County of
Shasta, State of California, accepts the propased projects which wi11 utilize Fiscal Year 2022-23
Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation revenues in their de�ivery. With the listing of these projeets
in the adopted�scal year resolutian, the City is reaffirming to the publie and the State our intent
ta fund these prc�jects with Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account revenues List of Projects
(Attachment A) funded by SB 1, the Road Maintenance and Rehabilitatian Account for Fiscal
Year 2022-23.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Redding on the 17th day of May, 2022, and was duly adopted at
said meeting by the following vote:
