The City Council Chambers are fully open to the public in compliance with current guidelines
from the California Department of Public Health regarding indoor meetings with the
requirement of masks to be worn in all indoor public settings, irrespective of vaccine status
from December 1 S, 2021, through February 1 S, 2022.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kristen Schreder with the following Council
Members present: Michael Dacquisto, Mark Mezzano, Erin Resner, and Julie Winter.
Also present were: City Manager Barry Tippin, Assistant City Manager Sheri DeMaagd, City
Attorney Barry DeWalt, and Executive Assistant Luisa Klapperich called the roll prior to
leaving the Closed Session meeting.
PUBLIC COMMENT
Mayor Schreder determined that no one present wished to address the items agendized far
Closed Session.
CLOSED SESSION
At the hour of 5:30 p.m., Mayor Schreder opened the Special Meeting and announced that the
Council would adjourn to Closed Session.
3A. Closed Session pursuant to California Government Code Section 54957.6:
CONFERENCE WITH LABOR NEGOTIATOR
Designated Agency Representative: Assistant City Manager/Personnel Director

Employee Organizations:
(1) International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers AFL-CIO-Electric

Pursuant to Government Code section 54957.1(a), the City Council took no reportable
action on this item.

Pursuant to Government Code section 54957.1(a), the City Council took no reportable
action on this item. �
3C. Closed Session pursuant to California Government Code Section 549569(d)(2) &
(e)(3):
CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COLTNSEL - ANTICIPATED LITIGATION
Significant exposure to litigation
Claim No. 21-073-442 by Kelli Tapley-Moore for damage caused by a City of Redding
vehicle on February 3, 2021
Pursuant to Government Code section 54957.1(a), a consensus of the City Council
authorized a settlement in the amount of$30,000 to be offered to the claimant, Kelli
Tapley-Moore.

There being no further business, Mayor Schreder declared the meeting adjourned at the hour
of 6:00 p.m.
