HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - City Council - 02-16-21 - Closed Session 330 Redding City Council,Special Meeting Civic Center Council Cbambers 77'7 Cypress Avenue Redding,CA 96001 February 16,2021,5:00 PM Due fo the increase in the spread of Covid-19 and the latest directives from the Gavernor and the Califarnia Department of Public Heatth,the Mayor modi�ed access to the City Council meeting to enable members of the public to make public eomments with the foliowing raquirements: {a) entry to the Council Chambers was limited ta members of the public��shing to address the Council on�ny agenda item;(b)people who w�ished to spe�k to the City Cauncil checked-in with City staff at the Community Room door beginning at S=dO p,m.;(c)speakers waited outside xhe building until time for the CQuncii to hear the item, CitS- staff�ssembled the speakers and admitted up to four people into the Council Chambers at any one time. If more than four people wished to address an item,they were admitted following tlle comments from the first four speakers;(d)all members of the public were asked to wear a face mask,however,they could remove the mask wl�ile speaking;(e)speakers were given up to three(3}minutes to address the Cauncil and after speaking,the individual left the building following the directional arrows and eYited through the main chamber doors. The meeting was eaIled to order by Mayar Erin Resner with the follawing Council Members present.Michael I)acquisto,Mark Mezzana,Kristen Schreder,and Julie Winter. Also present were: City Manager Barry Tippin,Assistant City Manager Sheri DeMaagd and City Attorney Barry F. DeWalt. Executive Assistant 7oan Twomey called the roll prior to leaving the Glosed Session meeting. There were no public comments. CLQSED SESSIUN At the hour of 5:04 p.m.,Mayor Resner opened the Special Meeting and announced that the Couneil would adjourn to Clased Session. At the hour of 6:Q5 p.m.,Mayar Resner reconvened the Special Meeting to Open Session and reported that in reference to: 3A.
