December 12, 1995 5:15 p.m.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kehoe with the following
Council Members present: P. Anderson, R. Anderson, McGeorge, Murray and
Kehoe.
Also present were Assistant City Manager Perry, City Attorney Wingate,
Director of Administrative Services Starman, City Treasurer Linville,
and Assistant City Attorney Calkins. Also present were outside legal
counsel Susan Hinz and Ivor Samson.
CLOSED SESSION
- Real Property Negotiator & Existing Litigation
(C-070-200 & L-100)
Mayor Kehoe stated that the City Council would adjourn to closed session
pursuant to California Government Code Section 54956.8 to discuss the
following:
1) Conference with real property negotiator
a) Property: 2439 Sonoma Street, Redding, California
Negotiating Parties: City of Redding and Les Melburg
Under Negotiation: Instructions to negotiator will concern
sale price, terms of payment, and other contractual matters
b) Property: 2440 Sonoma Street, Redding, California
Negotiating Parties: City of Redding and Galbreath Company
Under Negotiation: Instructions to negotiator will concern
sale price, terms of payment, and other contractual matters
In addition, Mayor Kehoe related that the City Council would adjourn to
closed session pursuant to California Government Code Section 54956.9(a)
to discuss the following:
1) Conference with legal counsel - existing litigation
a) Max Hammon v. City of Redding, et al., Shasta County Superior
Court Case No. 126235
b) City of Redding v. Max R. Hammon and Marcella Hammon, Shasta
County Superior Court Case No. 103150
c) City of Redding v. Shasta Enterprises, et al., and related
cross-action, Shasta County Superior Court Consolidated Case Nos.
87226 and 95735
b) City of Redding v. Orion Corporation, et al., Shasta County
Superior Court Case No. 122988
At the hour of 5:17 p.m., Mayor Kehoe adjourned the meeting to closed
session.
At the hour of 7:00 p.m., Mayor Kehoe reconvened the meeting to regular
session.
No action was taken.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, at the hour of 7:00 p.m., Mayor Kehoe
declared the meeting adjourned.
