City Council Chambers

November 7, 1995 6:47 p.m.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kehoe with the following
Council Members present: P. Anderson, R. Anderson, McGeorge, Murray and
Kehoe.
Also present were City Manager Warren, Assistant City Manager Perry,
Assistant City Attorney Calkins, City Clerk Strohmayer, and Secretary to
the City Council Rudolph.
CLOSED SESSION
- Existing Litigation
(L-100)
Mayor Kehoe stated the City Council would adjourn to closed session
pursuant to California Government Code Section 54956.9(a) to discuss the
following:
1) Conference with Legal Counsel-Existing Litigation: Patrick Buckley
and Personal Watercraft Industry Association, Plaintiff and
Appellants, v. City of Redding, Defendant and Appellee, Shasta
County Superior Court Case No. 119062; and United States Court of
Appeals for the Ninth Circuit Case No. 93-17277; and
2) Marcella Andrea Taylor-Snell, et al., v. City of Redding, et al.,
Shasta County Superior Court Case No. 125480.
At the hour of 6:47 p.m., Mayor Kehoe adjourned the meeting to closed
session.
At the hour of 6:52 p.m., Mayor Kehoe reconvened the meeting to regular
session.
MOTION: Made by Council Member R. Anderson, seconded by Council Member
McGeorge, to approve the settlement in the case of Marcella Andrea
Taylor-Snell, et al., v. City of Redding, et al, Shasta County Superior
Court Case No. 125480, as follows: $22,500 payable to Marcella Taylor-
Snell, and $1,500 payable to Alexander Snell. The Vote: Unanimous Ayes
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, at the hour of 6:54 p.m., Mayor Kehoe
declared the meeting adjourned.
