City Council, Special Meeting

October 25, 1995 5:00 p.m.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kehoe with the following
Council Members present: P. Anderson, McGeorge, Murray and Kehoe.
Council Member R. Anderson was absent.
Also present were City Manager Warren, City Attorney Wingate, Airports
Director Perry and City Clerk Strohmayer.
RESOLUTION
- Permit with Sierra Expressway for Commercial Activities at
Redding Municipal Airport
(C-070-100 & A-090-100-800)
Assistant City Manager Perry's Report to the City Council dated October
20, 1995, incorporated herein by reference, outlined Sierra Expressway's
plans to commence commercial air transportation service at Redding
Municipal Airport on November 1, 1995. In conjunction with that
service, Sierra Expressway is proposing to rent the terminal building
counter location previously occupied by Reno Air Express for $1,268.00
per month. Additionally, Sierra Expressway will be charged the standard
landing fee calculated on the landed weights of the aircraft involved
and the number of revenue flights that are conducted each month.
It is the recommendation of staff that the City Council adopt the
necessary resolution approving the Permit for Commercial Activities at
Redding Municipal Airport with Sierra Expressway.
MOTION: Made by Council Member Murray, seconded by Council Member
McGeorge, that Resolution No. 95-237 be adopted, a resolution of the
City Council of the City of Redding entering into a Permit for
Commercial Activities at Redding Municipal Airport between the City and
Sierra Expressway, effective November 1, 1995, through July 31, 1996, at
a monthly rental fee of $1,268.00 per month plus applicable aircraft
landing fees.
Voting was as follows:
Ayes: Council Members - P. Anderson, McGeorge, Murray and Kehoe
Noes: Council Members - None
Absent: Council Members - R. Anderson
Resolution No. 95-237 is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, at the hour of 5:02 p.m., Mayor Kehoe
declared the meeting adjourned.
