HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - City Council - unsigned - 1994-11-15 - Special City Council, Special Meeting City Council Chambers 1313 California Street Redding, California November 15, 1994 6:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Anderson with the following Council Members present: P. Anderson, Kehoe, McGeorge, Murray and R. Anderson. CLOSED SESSION (L-100 & P-100-050-050 & A-050-080 & P-100-060) Mayor R. Anderson stated that the City Council would adjourn to closed session to discuss the following: 1) Pursuant to California Government Code Section 54956.9(a) - Conference with Legal Counsel - Existing Litigation: City of Redding v. Nicholas M. Grieco and Isabel B. Grieco; Eugene R. Crippa and Mary P. Crippa; Eric Martin Crippa, et al., Shasta County Superior Court Case No. 101824; 2) Pursuant to California Government Code Section 54956.9(a) - Conference with Legal Counsel - Existing Litigation: City of Redding v. Nicholas M. Grieco and Isabel B. Grieco, et al., Shasta County Superior Court Case No. 101823; 3) Pursuant to California Government Code Section 54957.6(a) - Conference with Labor Negotiation re International Association of Fire Fighters, AFL-CIO, Firefighters Unit; 4) Pursuant to California Government Code Section 54957 - Public Employment for position of City Manager; and 5) Pursuant to California Government Code Section 54954.5 and 54957, Public Employee Discipline/Dismissal/Release. At the hour of 6:00 p.m., Mayor R. Anderson adjourned the meeting to closed session. At the hour of 7:03 p.m., Mayor R. Anderson reconvened the meeting to regular session. MOTION: Made by Council Member Murray, seconded by Council Member Kehoe, to authorize the City Attorney to enter into a Settlement Agreement in the amount of $15,000 regarding the following: City of Redding v. Nicholas M. Grieco and Isabel B. Grieco; Eugene R. Crippa and Mary P. Crippa; Eric Martin Crippa, et al., Shasta County Superior Court Case No. 101824; and City of Redding v. Nicholas M. Grieco and Isabel B. Grieco, et al., Shasta County Superior Court Case No. 101823. The Vote: Unanimous Ayes Mayor R. Anderson related that the City Council had nothing to report concerning the closed session regarding the International Association of Fire Fighters, AFL-CIO, Firefighters Unit. MOTION: Made by Council Member Kehoe, seconded by Council Member McGeorge, that a contract be offered to Mike Warren for the position of City Manager of the City of Redding and authorize the Mayor to sign said contract upon receipt of an executed copy from Mike Warren. The Vote: Unanimous Ayes Mayor R. Anderson stated that the City Council had nothing to report regarding the closed session concerning Public Employee Discipline/Dismissal/Release. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, at the hour of 7:05 p.m, Mayor R. Anderson declared the meeting adjourned. APPROVED: Mayor ATTEST: City Clerk
