The meeting was called to order at l2:00 Noon by Mayor Fulton with the
following Council Members present: Carter, Gard, and Fulton. Council
Members absent: Dahl and Johannessen
Also present were City Manager Courtney, City Attorney Hays, Director
of General Services Masingale, and City Clerk Nichols.
ORDINANCE - re Retirement Benefits for Firefighters
(P-l00-050-050)
MOTION: Made by Council Member Gard, seconded by Council Member
Carter that the full reading of Ordinance No. l768 be waived and the
City Attorney be instructed to read the full title. The Vote:
Unanimous Ayes
MOTION: Made by Council Member Gard, seconded by Council Member
Carter that Ordinance No. l768 be adopted, an ordinance of the City
Council of the City of Redding authorizing an amendment to the
contract between the City Council of the City of Redding and the Board
of Administration of the California Public Employees' Retirement
System.
Voting was as follows:
Ayes: Council Members - Carter, Gard, and Fulton
Noes: Council Members - None
Absent: Council Members - Dahl and Johannessen
Ordinance No. l768 is on file in the office of the City Clerk
REQUEST TO SELL ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES - by Greater Redding Chamber of
Commerce

A request was received from the Greater Redding Chamber of Commerce to
sell alcoholic beverages at the Redding Museum and Art Center and the
Carter House Science Museum, for a "Business After Hours" event, on
Thursday evening, May 29, l986.
MOTION: Made by Council Member Carter, seconded by Council Member
Gard that the above request be approved, subject to the necessary
insurance requirements. The Vote: Unanimous Ayes
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, at the hour of l2:l0 P.M., Mayor
Fulton declared the meeting adjourned.
