The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kirkpatrick with the follow-
ing Council Members present: Demsher, Fulton, Pugh, and Kirkpatrick.
Council Members absent: Gard
Also present were City Manager Courtney, City Attorney Hays, Engineer-
ing Manager Russell, Resources Manager Coleman, Finance Director
Downing, Director of General Services Masingale, Senior Associate
Planner King, City Clerk Nichols, and Secretary to the City Council
Rupp.
ORDINANCE - re Electric System Financing
(E-090-l60-220)
MOTION: Made by Council Member Pugh, seconded by Council Member
Demsher that the full reading of Ordinance No. l743 be waived and City
Attorney Hays be instructed to read the full title. The Vote:
Unanimous Ayes
MOTION: Made by Council Member Demsher, seconded by Council Member
Pugh that Ordinance No. l743 be adopted, an ordinance of the City
Council of the City of Redding approving and authorizing the execution
and delivery of an installment purchase contract, a trust agreement, a
certificate purchase agreement, a remarketing agreement, a standby
certificate purchase agreement, a variable rate indexing agent agree-
ment, a fixed rate indexing agent agreement and an official statement
and certain other actions in connection with the City of Redding l985
Electric System Project.
Voting was as follows:
Ayes: Council Members - Demsher, Fulton, Pugh, and Kirkpatrick
Noes: Council Members - None
Absent: Council Members - Gard
Ordinance No. l743 is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
RESOLUTION - Authorizing Application for Grant and Project Agreement
for Restoration of Old City Hall
(G-l00-l70 and C-050-500)
Senior Associate Planner King advised that on August l9, l985, Council
authorized staff to apply for a $l60,000 grant from the State Office
of Historic Preservation. He stated that a resolution has been
prepared to formalize this action.
MOTION: Made by Council Member Demsher, seconded by Council Member
Pugh that Resolution No. 85-227 be adopted, a resolution of the City
Council of the City of Redding approving the application and the
project agreement for the restoration of Old City Hall Project from
the California Park and Recreational Facilities Act of l984.
Voting was as follows:
Ayes: Council Members - Demsher, Fulton, Pugh, and Kirkpatrick
Noes: Council Members - None
Absent: Council Members - Gard
Resolution No. 85-227 is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
