RESOLUTION NO. (/ 3' 7 7/
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
DECLARING THAT CITY OF REDDING RETIRED SERVICE WEAPONS BE
DECLARED SURPLUS CITY PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, on January 7 , 1988 , City Council appropriated funds
to purchase new Police service weapons; and
WHEREAS, a condition thereof was that the retired Police
service weapons and the confiscated weapons be sold as prescribed
by law to offset the cost of the new weapons; and
WHEREAS , the confiscated weapons have been sold; and
WHEREAS, prior to selling the retired City of Redding
Police service weapons to a federally licensed firearms dealer,
it is necessary that the retired service weapons be declared
surplus property;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Redding that the City of Redding retired service
weapons be and hereby are declared surplus City property.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Redding on the 20th day of December , 1988 , and was
duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote:
AYES : COUNCIL MEMBERS: Buffum, Carter, Dahl , Fulton, & Johannessen
NOES : COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None
