SUBJECT: Steven Horstman--"EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH"-Nov. 1988
Suggestion: Relocation of Traffic Side Vehicle
Equipment
The Suggestion Committee has selected Steven Horstman, an
employee in the Parks and Recreation Department, as the City
of Redding "Employee of the Month" for November, 1988 .
Steven suggested that certain equipment on the traffic side
of City vehicles be relocated to the curb side of the vehicle
thereby reducing the employees ' exposure to possible injury.
Although the City has not had any accidents as a result of
vehicle equipment on City trucks, implementation of this
suggestion will minimize any potential hazard to employees.
Implementation of this suggestion, while not increasing
revenue for the City, will provide safer working conditions
for City employees . The committee recommends that the
suggestion be implemented at the earliest convenience.
Steven' s suggestion will be considered when selecting the
"Employee of the Year. "
