O dP" 3 7 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING SUMMARILY VACATING A PG&E EASEMENT (NOW OWNED BY THE CITY) ACROSS THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF CYPRESS AVENUE AND BECHELLI LANE, RECORDED IN BOOK 3 OF RIGHTS-OF-WAY AT PAGE 1 , SHASTA COUNTY RECORDS. WHEREAS , with the annexation of the Enterprise area into the City of Redding, the City acquired ownership of an existing Pacific Gas and Electric Company Easement (hereinafter referred to as "Easement") across the southwest corner of Cypress Avenue and Bechelli Lane; and WHEREAS , said Easement was recorded in Book 3 of Rights-of- Way at page 1 of Shasta County Records; and is shown highlighted in blue on the attached map; and WHEREAS , the Electric Department has advised the Director of Public Works of the City of Redding that said Easement is not being used, nor is there any need for it in the future; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redding elects to proceed in this matter under the provisions of the Public Streets, Highways, and Service Easements Vacation Law as the same is set forth in Section 8300 , et seq. , of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redding hereby resolves and orders : 1 . That the above recitals are true and correct. 2 . That the Easement recorded in Book 3 of Rights-of-Way at page 1 of Shasta County Records is no longer necessary and may be vacated at this time. 3 . That the City Clerk of the City of Redding be and hereby is directed to record a certified copy of this Resolution, A 410 attested to by the City Clerk under seal of the City of Redding, in the office of the Shasta County Recorder.
