A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 86-147 , PARTIALLY AMENDED BY
RESOLUTION NOS . 87-12 , 87-48 , 87-115 , 87-212 , 87-213 ,
87-249 , 88-4 , 88-12 , 88-31 , 88-42 , 88-174 , AND 88-236 BY:
A. (1) DELETING, AS OF MIDNIGHT, JUNE 25 , 1988 , THE
CURRENT EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT PAY-FOR-PERFORMANCE
SALARY PLAN; AND
(2) ESTABLISHING A NEW EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT PAY-FOR-
PERFORMANCE SALARY PLAN AS SET FORTH IN EXHIBIT
"A" ATTACHED HERETO, EFFECTIVE JUNE 26 , 1988 .

WHEREAS, City Council has studied the current Executive
Management Pay-for-Performance Salary Plan and Employee

Classification Schedule and Salary Plan as previously established
by Resolution No. 86-147 , and partially amended by Resolution
Nos. 87-12 , 87-48 , 87-115 , 87-212 , 87-213 , 87-249 , 88-4 , 88-12 ,
88-31 , 88-42 , 88-174 , and 88-236 ;
AND WHEREAS , staff has recommended that Resolution No. C'
86-147 , partially amended by Resolution Nos . 87-12 , 87-48 ,
87-115 , 87-212 , 87-213 , 87-249 , 88-4 , 88-12 , 88-31 , 88-42 , 0
88-174 , and 88-236 , be further amended by:
A. (1) DELETING, AS OF MIDNIGHT, JUNE 25 , 1988 , THE
CURRENT EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT PAY-FOR-PERFORMANCE
SALARY PLAN; AND

(2) ESTABLISHING A NEW EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT PAY-FOR-
PERFORMANCE SALARY PLAN AS SET FORTH IN EXHIBIT

AND WHEREAS , City Council deems it to be in the best
interests of the City of Redding to adopt such recommendations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redding that Resolution No. 86-147 , partially amended by
Resolution Nos . 87-12 , 87-48 , 87-115 , 87-212 , 87-213 , 87-249 ,
88-4 , 88-12 , 88-31 , 88-42 , 88-174 , and 88-236 be and hereby is
further amended by:
A. (1) DELETING, AS OF MIDNIGHT, JUNE 25 , 1988 , THE
CURRENT EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT PAY-FOR-PERFORMANCE
SALARY PLAN; AND

The City Manager will be taking an agenda item to amend the
Employee Classification and Salary Plan and the Executive
Management Pay-For-Performance Salary Plan effective June 26,
1988 by applying a 4 . 04% change.
This action will require a resolution deleting the existing
Employee Classification and Salary Plan and Executive
Management Pay-For-Performance Salary Plan effective midnight
June 25, 1988 and immediately thereafter establishing a new
Employee Classification and Salary Plan and Executive
Management Pay-For-Performance Salary Plan effective June 26,
1988 .
Exhibits for the resolution will be available once
Information Systems has prepared the reports necessary to
complete the new salary schedules.
