HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso. 1988-086 - Ordering territory designated as "annexation 87-3, tarmac road" annexed to the city of redding • I111 RESOLUTION NO. 0g-86 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING ORDERING TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "ANNEXATION 87-3, TARMAC ROAD" ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF REDDING WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of Shasta adopted its Resolution No. 88-2 on January 21, 1988, making determinations and approving the proposed annexation to the City of Redding of territory described in Exhibit A attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of annexation as approved by the Local Agency Formation Commission are as follows: (1) Boundaries established by the Commission as shown on the attached map marked Exhibit B; and (2) Prior to the issuance of the Certificate of Completion, an appropriate tax exchange agreement resolution, jointly executed by the County of Shasta and the City of Redding, shall be filed with the Commission; and WHEREAS, the reasons for this annexation are to receive City services; and WHEREAS, the regular County assessment roll is utilized by this City; and WHEREAS, the affected territory will not be taxed for existing general bonded indebtedness of this City; and WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission has authorized this Council to approve this annexation without notice and hearing and without an election. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redding hereby orders the territory described in Exhibit A annexed, and directs the City Clerk to transmit a certified copy of this resolution with applicable fees required by Section 54902.5 of the Government Code to the executive officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission of Shasta County. - 1 - I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Redding on the 1St day of March , 1988, and was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote: AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Carter , Fulton , Gard , Johannessen , & Dahl NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS: None 4i)A10_____, MIKE DM L, Mayor City of Redding ATTEST: .6.- ETHEL A.
