";`J6% A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING DECLARING AS SURPLUS PROPERTY THE UNIMPROVED STREET RIGHT- OF-WAY KNOWN AS APPIAN WAY AND MARLENE AVENUE ADJACENT TO THE NORTH AND EAST PROPERTY LINES OF THE PROPERTY KNOWN AS 2475 MARLENE WAY (A-11-87) . WHEREAS , certain real property, namely an unimproved street right-of-way known as Appian Way and Marlene Avenue adjacent to the north and east property lines of the property known as 2475 Marlene Way, in the City of Redding, has been heretofore reserved to the City, as the same is set forth on a map and/or plan on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Redding, and being more particularly described in Exhibit "A" and shown cross-hatched on the map attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference; and WHEREAS , it is believed by and it appears to the City Council of the City of Redding that the above-described unimproved street right-of-way is no longer necessary; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding as follows: 1 . That all of the foregoing recitals are true and correct. 2 . That the City Council hereby declares as surplus property that certain unimproved street right-of-way known as Appian Way and Marlene Avenue adjacent to the north and east ZSI) 111 41, property lines of the property known as 2475 Marlene Avenue, as more particularly described in Exhibit "A" and shown cross-hatched on the map attached hereto and incorporated by reference. HAYS , ity Attorney -2- • i . • DESCRIPTION PAGE OF PRELIMINARY REPORT-ORDER NO. 40206 The land referred to in this report is situated in the State of California, County of Shasta, City of Redding and is described as follows: COMMENCING at the Southwest corner of Lot 7, Block C of Cockerill Acres Subdivision as per plat on file in Book 8 of Maps at page 17, Records of Shasta County, California, and running thence, South 89°53 '37" West on and along the Northerly line of Marlene Avenue a distance of 7. 14 feet; thence, South 0°06'23" East 60.00 feet to a point on the Southerly line of Marlene Avenue, said point being the true point of beginning of this description; thence, North 89°53' 37" East, 199. 15 feet; thence, South 65°16'08" East, 138.22 feet; thence; along ,a curve to the left with a radius of 30.00 feet and central angle of 115°04'51" a distance of 60.26 feet; thence, North 0°20'59" West, 30.71 feet; thence, North 89°53 '37" East, 20.00 feet to the North-South mid-section line of Section 9, Township 31 North, Range 4 West, M.D.B.&M. ; thence, South 0°20'59" East, on and along said North-South mid-section line a distance of 977.49 feet to the center of said Section 9; thence, South 89°39'42" West, on and along the East-West mid-section line of said Section 9, a distance of 20.00 feet; thence, North 0°20 '59" West, 814.37 feet; thence, along a curve to the left with a radius of 30.00 feet and central angle of 64°55 '09" a distance of 33.99 feet; thence, North 65°16 '08" West, 267.69 feet; thence, along a curve to the left with a radius of 255 .76 feet and central angle of 24°50 ' 15" a distance of 110.87 feet to the true point of beginning of this description.
