RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING ORDERING
TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "ANNEXATION 89-4, ABERNATHY LANE" ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF REDDING
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of Shasta
adopted its Resolution No. 89-15 on November 8, 1989, making determinations
and approving the proposed annexation to the City of Redding of territory
described in Exhibit A attached hereto and by this reference incorporated
herein; and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of annexation as approved by the Local
Agency Formation Commission are as follows: Boundaries approved by the
Commission as shown on the attached map marked Exhibit B; and
WHEREAS, the reasons for this annexation are to receive City services;
and
WHEREAS, the regular County assessment roll is utilized by this City; and
WHEREAS, the affected territory will not be taxed for existing general
bonded indebtedness of this City; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing on this annexation was called for and held by
this Council on December 5, 1989, and this Council finds and determines that
the value of written protests filed and not withdrawn is less than 50 percent
of the total assessed value of land within the territory.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Redding hereby orders the territory described in Exhibit A annexed, and
directs the City Clerk to transmit a certified copy of this resolution with
applicable fees required by Section 54902.5 of the Government Code to the
executive officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission of Shasta County.

410I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was introduced and read at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Redding on the 5th day
of December , 1989, and was duly adopted at said meeting by the following
vote:

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
ANNEXATION 89-4
COMMENCING at the southwest corner of the Forgotten Trails Subdivision, Tract
Number 1351, as shown on the map recorded in Book 14 of maps at page 126
Shasta County Records, said corner being on the Boundary Line of the City of
Redding; thence following along said Boundary Line S. 89°47'45" W. , 1313.12
feet to the point of beginning; thence N. 89°47'45" E. , 415 feet more or less
to the northeast corner of a parcel conveyed to Leo A. and Delia G. Nistler by
deed on July 10, 1986 as recorded in book 2242 at page 594 Shasta County
Records, said corner being a point on the Boundary Line of the City of
Redding; thence following along said Boundary Line S. 0°04'31" E. , 1323.75
feet to the southeast corner of said parcel; thence conn inuing along said
Boundary Line N. 89°54'50" W. , 439.78 feet; thence S. 0 01'53" E. , 1322.08
feet to the south line of Old 44 Drive; thence following along said south
line of Old 44 Drive N. 89°45'01" W. , 40 feet, more or less, to a point on the
northerly line of State Highway 44 where said south line of Old 44 Drive and
the northerly line of State Highway 44 intersects; thence along the northerly
line of State Highway 44 N. 57 28'03" W. , 370 feet more or less to the south-
east corner of a parcel conveyed to Wayne A. Snodgrass and Nolan D. Brewer by
deed on October 29, 1982 as recorded in book 1922 at page 110 Shasta County
Records; thence leaving said Boundary Line of the City of Redding N. 00

E. , 275 feet, more or less, to a point on the east line of said Snodgrass and
Brewer parcel; thence N. 89°56'29" E. , 30 feet; thence N. 0°01'20" E. , 630.21
feet; thence N. 0°11'35" E. , 1320.04 feet; thence S. 89°47'45" W. , 1320 feet,
more or less, to the southeast corner of a parcel conveyed to Ramona Marie
Seright by deed on April 8, 1987 as recorded in Book 2306 at page 660 Shasta
County Records; thence N. 0°18' 17" W. , 670.54 feet; thence N. 89°56'04" W. ,
658.19 feet; thence N. 0°23'41" W. , 2020.97 feet to the section corner common
to Sections 3, 4, 33 and 34 Township 31 North, Range 4 West M.D.M; thence
following along the north line of Section 3 S. 89°07'44" E. , 1984 feet, more
or less, to the northwest corner of a parcel conveyed to Pacific Gas and
Electric Company by deed of conveyance on February 25, 1936 as recorded in
book 114 at age 243 Shasta County Records; thence along the west line of said
parcel S. 0 01'53" E. , 1340 feet, more or less, to the southwest corner of
said parcel; thence following along the south line of said parcel N. 89°47'45"
E. , 656.56 feet; thence S. 0°01'53" E. , 1333.16 feet to the point of
beginning.
