A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING OF 1
INTENTION TO BEGIN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS OF ABATEMENT UNDER
CHAPTER 9 . 36 OF THE REDDING MUNICIPAL CODE ON CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF REDDING LOCATED AT 620 LOCUST
STREET, OWNED BY JOYCE G. TUCKER, A WIDOW
WHEREAS , the provisions of Chapter 9 . 36 of the Redding
Municipal Code provide that all buildings or structures located
within the City of Redding which are structurally unsafe or are
dilapidated from old age, neglect, decay or other causes which
constitute a fire menace or are dangerous to human life or a
likely resort for vagrant or dissolute persons, may be declared a
nuisance by the City Council of the City of Redding and there-
' after abated as provided therein; and
WHEREAS , the Building Official of the City of Redding has
made an inspection of the building (s) located on real property as
hereinafter described and has declared them to be unsafe and/or a
hazard to safety, health, and public welfare; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is categor-
ically exempt from the provisions of CEQA;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redding that it is the intention of this City Council to

begin legal proceedings of abatement under Chapter 9 . 36 of the
Redding Municipal Code on the property described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and made a part hereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said building(s) mentioned

hereinabove are hereby declared to be a public nuisance as

provided by Chapter 9 . 36 of the Redding Municipal Code and are
hereby ordered to be abated by repair, rehabilitation, demolition
or removal.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Fire Marshal and the Board
of Appeals of the City of Redding are hereby directed to take all
proceedings provided in Chapter 9 . 36 of the Redding Municipal
Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of
Redding be and hereby is authorized and directed to forward a
certified copy of this Resolution to the Shasta County Recorder
for recordation.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was intro-
duced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Redding on the 21st day of November , 1989 , and
was duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote:

That real property situate in the County of Shasta, City of
Redding, State of California, and is described as follows:
All that portion of Lot 17 , Olivia Addition to the town (now
City) of Redding, as shown on the map recorded in Book of Old 1
Plats at page 62 , Shasta County Records, described as follows:
COMMENCING at the most Westerly corner of Lot 17 of the Olivia
Addition to the City of Redding, as shown on the map recorded in
Book 10 of Land Surveys at page 19 in the office of the Shasta
County Recorder; thence, along the Northeasterly line of Locust
Avenue, South 64 °29 ' East, 37 . 00 feet to the true point of
beginning of this description; thence, from said point of 1
beginning, South 64 °29 ' East, 60. 00 feet; thence, leaving said
Northeasterly line, North 19°22 ' East, 161.98 feet; thence, North
