WHEREAS, a portion of the Lakeside Drive (formerly Wisconsin Avenue) street right-of-way and a portion of a 15-foot-wide public service (waterline) easement along Louisiana Avenue, as more particularly described in the exhibits attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, were heretofore given to the City of Redding by implied dedication; and WHEREAS , the Director of Public Works of the City of Redding has duly investigated the proposed abandonment of a portion of the Lakeside Drive (formerly Wisconsin Avenue) street right-of- way, which portion is more particularly described in Exhibit "A" and shown on the maps attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and has advised the City Council that there is no indication that it will ever be required; and I WHEREAS , the Director of Public Works of the City of Redding has duly investigated the proposed abandonment of a portion of the 15-foot-wide public service (waterline) easement along Louisiana Avenue, which portion is more particularly described in Exhibit "B" and shown on the maps attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and has advised the City or BUOK 4AdJ AGFtT\ 679 � I • • Council that there •mss no indication that it will ever be required; and WHEREAS , it is believed by and appears to the City Council of the City of Redding that the portions of the above-mentioned street right-of-way and public service (waterline) easement are no longer necessary; and WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Redding elects to proceed in this matter under the provisions of the Public Streets, Highways, and Service Easements Vacation Law as the same is set forth in Section 8300 , et seq. , of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AND ORDERED by the City Council of the City of Redding that: 1 . The portion of the Lakeside Drive (formerly Wisconsin Avenue) street right-of-way, as more particularly described in . I Exhibit "A" and shown on the maps attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is no longer necessary and is hereby vacated as a street right-of-way. 2 . The portion of the 15-foot-wide public service (water- ' j line) easement along Louisiana Avenue, as more particularly described in Exhibit "B" and shown on the maps attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference , is no longer necessary and is hereby vacated as a public service easement. 3 .
