A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
SUMMARILY VACATING A PORTION OF THE LAKESIDE DRIVE (FORMERLY
WISCONSIN AVENUE) STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY, AND A PORTION OF A
15-FOOT-WIDE PUBLIC SERVICE (WATERLINE) EASEMENT ALONG
LOUISIANA AVENUE .
WHEREAS, a portion of the Lakeside Drive (formerly Wisconsin
Avenue) street right-of-way and a portion of a 15-foot-wide
public service (waterline) easement along Louisiana Avenue, as
more particularly described in the exhibits attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference, were heretofore given to the
City of Redding by implied dedication; and
WHEREAS , the Director of Public Works of the City of Redding
has duly investigated the proposed abandonment of a portion of
the Lakeside Drive (formerly Wisconsin Avenue) street right-of-
way, which portion is more particularly described in Exhibit "A"
and shown on the maps attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference, and has advised the City Council that there is no
indication that it will ever be required; and

WHEREAS , the Director of Public Works of the City of Redding
has duly investigated the proposed abandonment of a portion of
the 15-foot-wide public service (waterline) easement along
Louisiana Avenue, which portion is more particularly described in
Exhibit "B" and shown on the maps attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference, and has advised the City

Council that there •mss no indication that it will ever be
required; and
WHEREAS , it is believed by and appears to the City Council
of the City of Redding that the portions of the above-mentioned
street right-of-way and public service (waterline) easement are
no longer necessary; and
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Redding elects to
proceed in this matter under the provisions of the Public
Streets, Highways, and Service Easements Vacation Law as the same
is set forth in Section 8300 , et seq. , of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AND ORDERED by the
City Council of the City of Redding that:
1 . The portion of the Lakeside Drive (formerly Wisconsin
Avenue) street right-of-way, as more particularly described in

Exhibit "A" and shown on the maps attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference, is no longer necessary and is
hereby vacated as a street right-of-way.
2 . The portion of the 15-foot-wide public service (water-

line) easement along Louisiana Avenue, as more particularly
described in Exhibit "B" and shown on the maps attached hereto
and incorporated herein by reference , is no longer necessary and
is hereby vacated as a public service easement.
3 . The City Clerk of the City of Redding is hereby
directed to record a certified copy of this Resolution, attested

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Redding on the 17th day of October , 1989 , and was

Near Redding, Cal", recorded in Old Plats, page 24, Shasta
County Records, situate in the P.B.Reading Grant, Shasta
County, California, more particularly described as follows:
All that portion of said Wisconsin Avenue lying westerly of
the east line of said Wisconsin Avenue and easterly of the
following described line:
Commencing at the centerline monument marking the
intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and Mt. Ashland Avenue per
said map; thence along the centerline of Mt. Ashland Avenue,
S65"08'34"E 30.00 feet; thence N24-51'26"E 654 .91 feet, to a
point on the east line of said Wisconsin Avenue and the
POINT OF BEGINNING; thence from a tangent bearing
N22.00'25"W, along a curve to the right having a radius of
50.00 feet and a central angle of 36.51'51", an arc distance
of 32. 17 feet, thence northerly and parallel to said east
line of Wisconsin Avenue, N24.51'26"E 436.57 feet, thence
along a curve to the right having a radius of 20.00 feet and
a central angle of 60.00'00", an arc distance of 20.94 feet,

Cal", recorded in Old Plats, page 24, Shasta County Records,
situate in the P.B.Reading Grant, Shasta County, California,
and being a portion of that certain existing 15.00 foot wide
public utility easement situated northerly of the north
boundary line of Westgate Village as shown on the map
recorded in Book 16 of Maps at page 46, Shasta County
Records, more particularly described as follows:
All that portion of said existing 15.00 foot wide easement
lying easterly of the east line of said Wisconsin Avenue and
westerly of the following described line:
Commencing at the centerline monument marking the
intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and Mt. Ashland Avenue per
said map; thence along the centerline of Mt. Ashland Avenue,
S65.08'34"E 30.00 feet; thence N24-51'26"E 311 .87 feet, to a
point on the east line of said Wisconsin Avenue and the
southerly line of said existing easement; thence along said
southerly line, N67.59'00"W 461 .26 feet, to the POINT OF
BEGINNING; thence from a tangent bearing N19.48'41"E, along
a curve to the left having a radius of 55.00 feet and a
central angle of 15'55'36", an arc distance of 15.29 feet,
to a point on the north line of said existing easement, and
the POINT OF TERMINATION.
