HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso. 1989-304 - Rescinding resolution no 89-170 and designating a redevelopment survey area for amendment of the canby-hilltop-cypress redevelopment RESOLUTION NO. 8/ 'f5 C7 4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 89-170 AND DESIGNATING A REDEVELOPMENT SURVEY AREA FOR AMENDMENT OF THE CANBY-HILLTOP-CYPRESS REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT. WHEREAS, the City of Redding has established a Redevelopment Project known as the Canby-Hilltop-Cypress Redevelopment Project; and WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council to consider expanding j I the boundaries of the Canby-Hilltop-Cypress Redevelopment Project; and WHEREAS, Section 33310 of the California Community Redevelopment Law (Health & Safety Code Section 33000, et seq. ) provides that a redevelopment survey area may be designated by Resolution of the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redding desires that the area ' hereinafter described be studied to determine if a redevelopment project or 'I projects within said area are feasible; and WHEREAS, a redevelopment project or projects may be initiated within this area should it be found that such a project or projects are feasible; and �II WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to rescind Resolution No. 89-170 which was adopted on May 16, 1989. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding 1 as follows: i II 1. Resolution No. 89-170 is hereby rescinded and replaced by this resolution. 2. That the City Council of the City of Redding does hereby designate as a redevelopment survey area that area shown outlined on the map of "Canby- Hilltop-Cypress Redevelopment Survey Area" attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof by reference, and as more particularly described in the legal description of the "Canby-Hilltop-Cypress Redevelopment Survey Area" attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and made a part hereof by reference. That the City Council hereby finds and determines that said designated survey area requires study to determine if a redevelopment project or projects within said area are feasible.
