OFRICIALRECOpt1SSHAPTACOU .CM CIV' OF REDDING G 2 2 Mg 760 Parkview Ave. Redding, CA. 96001 RESOLUTION NO.57-.23/ RECORDER s = OE 0�R �� A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING OF INTENTION TO BEGIN LEGAL PROCEEDINGS OF ABATEMENT UNDER CHAPTER 9 . 36 OF THE REDDING MUNICIPAL CODE ON CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1735 ROANOKE AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF REDDING (OWNED BY THEODORE R. DRUMGOOLE) . WHEREAS , the provisions of Chapter 9 . 36 of the Redding Municipal Code provide that all buildings or structures located • within the City of Redding which are structurally unsafe or are dilapidated from old age , neglect, decay or other causes which constitute a fire menace or are dangerous to human life or a likely resort for vagrant or dissolute persons, may be declared a nuisance by the City Council of the City of Redding and there- after abated as provided therein; and WHEREAS, the Building Official of the City of Redding has 1 made an inspection of the building located on real property as hereinafter described and has declared it to be unsafe and/or a hazard to safety, health, and public welfare; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that this matter is categor- ically exempt from the provisions of CEQA; • NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redding that it is the intention of this City Council to begin legal proceedings of abatement under Chapter 9 . 36 of the Redding Municipal Code on the property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said building mentioned herein- above is hereby declared to be a public nuisance as provided by I t25:12mE 62‘ G / i =1. u �I Chapter 9 . 36 of the Redding Municipal Code and is hereby ordered to be abated by repair, rehabilitation, demolition, or removal. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Fire Marshal and the Board 1 of Appeals of the City of Redding are hereby directed to take all proceedings provided in Chapter 9 . 36 of the Redding Municipal Code. I BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Redding be and hereby is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Shasta County Recorder for recordation.
