HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso. 1989-230 - Approving the application for grant funds for the per-capita RESOLUTION NO. 8,11-X$ 0 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR THE PER-CAPITA GRANT PROGRAM UNDER THE CALIFORNIA WILDLIFE, COASTAL AND PARK LAND CONSERVATION ACT OF 1988 FOR PHASE VII OF THE SACRAMENTO RIVER TRAIL, WHICH INCLUDES A PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE. II I WHEREAS, the People of the State of California have enacted I I the California Wildlife, Coastal, and Park Land Conservation Act � I of 1988 , which administers State funds directed to the State of I � California and its political subdivisions for the development of facilities for public recreation; and WHEREAS , the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the responsibility of administering the program within he State, setting up necessary procedures governing i application by local agencies under the Program; and WHEREAS, the procedures established by the State Department of Parks and Recreation require applicants to certify approval of their applications by resolution prior to submitting said appli- cations to the State; and WHEREAS , said applications contain assurances that the 1 applicants must comply with; and WHEREAS, the applicants will enter into agreements with the State of California for the acquisition and/or development of projects; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redding hereby: 0 110 1 . Approves the filing of an application by the City of Redding (Agency) for the Per-Capita Grant Program under the California Wildlife, Coastal, and Park Land Conservation Act of 1988 state grant assistance, for Phase VII of the Sacramento River Trail, which includes a pedestrian bridge (Project) . 2 . Certifies that said Agency understands the assurances and certifications in its application form. 3 . Certifies that said Agency has or will have sufficient funds to operate and maintain the Project. 4 . Appoints its City Manager as Agent of the City of Redding to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents, including, but not limited to, applications , agreements , amendments , payment requests , and so on, which may be necessary for the completion of the aforementioned Project.
