A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEDDING
u ADOPTING A MECHANISM FOR ACTIVATING CONSIDERATION OF
ELECTRIC UTILITY RATE ADJUSTMENTS .
WHEREAS , the Electric Utility Commission asked staff to
prepare a mechanism for activating consideration of Electric
it Utility rate adjustments; and
WHEREAS , the purpose of such a mechanism is to provide a
consistent methodology for determining when consideration of a
rate adjustment is necessary; and

WHEREAS , the Mechanism attached hereto is the result of the
Electric Utility Commission' s review of the technical issues
li which principally affect the need for a rate adjustment; and
° WHEREAS , the Electric Utility Commission has concluded that
the attached Mechanism would contribute significantly to the
Utility' s financial stability, and ensure that the Utility' s
rates are being evaluated against sound and consistent financial
criteria; and
jl WHEREAS , the Electric Utility Commission and staff recommend
that the attached Mechanism be adopted by Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Redding that Council hereby adopts the Mechanism for

Activating Consideration of Electric Utility Rate Adjustments as
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of

the City of Redding on the Z'ls,t day of March , 1989 , and was
duly adopted at said meeting by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS: Buffum, Carter, Dahl , Fulton, and Johannessen
