AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
AMENDING SECTION 18 . 06 . 020 OF THE REDDING MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO THE REZONING OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN THE
CITY OF REDDING (RZ-15-89) .
The City Council of the City of Redding does hereby ordain
as follows:
Section 1 . That the boundaries of the districts referred to
in Section 18 . 06 . 020 of. the Redding Municipal Code as designated
on a Map entitled "Zoning Map of the City of Redding,
California, " dated March 19 , 1956 , are hereby altered as set
forth in the maps attached hereto and incorporated herein by:
REZONING: 3600 and 3730 Placer Street
FROM: R-1
TO: C0-15-B10-F, SUBJECT TO the Site-Plan-Review
Criteria attached hereto and incorporated herein
by reference.
Section 2 . The City Council hereby ratifies the Negative
Declaration prepared for this project showing that it has no
substantial impact upon the environment and that an environmental
impact report is not necessary.
Section 3 . The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance and cause its publication according to law.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was introduced
and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of

Redding on the 20th day of March , 1990 , and was duly read and
adopted on the 3rd day of April , 1990 , at a regular meeting of
the City Council by the following vote:

1. The maximum building height shall not exceed two stories.
2. Driveway locations shall be approved by the Traffic Engineer and shall not
exceed one driveway per street.
3. All mechanical or air-conditioning units shall be surrounded by parapets
!I • or fencing to screen the equipment from public view. If roof-mounted
equipment is to be used, the method of screening shall be depicted on the
building plans and plans submitted to the Board of Administrative Review
for site-plan-review purposes.
4. Cut slopes shall not exceed a slope of 1.5:1. Any cut slopes shall be
landscaped.
it 5. Security and parking lot lighting shall be low-profile and oriented downward
away from residences and adjoining streets.
6. The developed site area is to be landscaped with live vegetation. The
minimum planter width along Buenaventura Boulevard and Placer Street shall
be 15 feet. The area between the back of the sidewalk and the property line
is to be landscaped to match the adjacent on-site planter. A landscaping
plan, including plans for revegetation of the slopes, shall be approved by
the Planning Department prior to issuance of a building permit.
7. The minimum building setback along the west property line is to be 30 Feet.
The minimum setback between parking and the west property line is to be ten
feet if intensely landscaped or five feet if a six-foot-high solid fence
is constructed on the same grade as the parking area.
