A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
APPROVING THE FISCAL YEAR 1990-91 BUDGET FOR THE SHASTA
INTERAGENCY NARCOTICS TASK FORCE.
WHEREAS, the City of Anderson has entered into a Trust
Agreement to act as Fiscal Agent for the Shasta Interagency
Narcotics Task Force (SINTF) ; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement calls for the adoption and approval
of an annual budget by each participating Agency; and
WHEREAS, SINTF needs operating and equipment funds of
$67 , 421 for fiscal year July 1 , 1990 , through June 30 , 1991 ;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Redding hereby approves the 1990-91 Budget for the
Shasta Interagency Narcotics Task Force.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
introduced and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Redding on the 3rd day of July , 1990 , and was duly
adopted at said meeting by the following vote:

SINTF Narcotics Enforcement 553-92
Function(s) :
SINTF is a cooperative enforcement unit staffed by personnel from agencies within
Shasta County. The primary function is to enforce state and federal narcotics
laws in a manner that maximizes all available resources in combatting local drug
related problems.
1 Goal(s) :
1 During this budget year the task force will continue to initiate investigations
involving all levels of drug dealers. Agents will maintain communications with
all member agencies in order to more effectively perform their duties.
The unit will also work to improve the drug abuse problem'in Shasta County through
education, public awareness and cooperation with treatment services.
•
Objective(s) :
1. Identify and apprehend major narcotics traffickers.
2. Enhance local narcotic enforcement by providing training for police officers.
3. Establish relationships with non-police, drug-related agencies.
4. Maintain an area-wide narcotics intelligence system to gather and disseminate •
intelligence.
