HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1990-285 - Ordering the vacation and abandonment of a portion of mullen parkway 25 366 • • ii' RESOLUTION NO. 1 ,a_ 1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF MULLEN PARKWAY STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF CREEKSIDE DRIVE AND MULLEN PARKWAY (A-3-90) . .I WHEREAS , proceedings have been duly conducted and held in accordance with the provisions of the Public Streets , Highways, and Service Easements Vacation Law, Streets and Highways Code Section 8300 , et seq. ; and i WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Redding finds and determines that the hereinafter described real property is not necessary for present or prospective street right-of-way purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redding Ii hereby resolves and orders as follows : 1 '1 1 . City Council makes the following findings in connection herewith: (a) The project is compatible with the Redding General Plan; (b) The project will not significantly alter the existing land form; 1 (c) The project is compatible with the surrounding land use; and (d) The project is compatible with the Redding Municipal Code. 2 . That certain real property in the City of Redding, County of Shasta, State of California, being a portion of the Mullen Parkway street right-of-way located at the northeast corner of Creekside Drive and Mullen Parkway, as the same is more particularly described in Exhibit "A" and the map attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, be and the same is hereby RECORDED AT REQUEST OF CITY OF REDDING OFFICIAL RECORDS at a-��pa�'"min g. past M SHASTA COUNTY, CALIF. Dao UN 1 4 1990 Fee $140--F, der 11 vacated and abandoned as a street right-of-way, SUBJECT TO the following conditions: (a) The City shall retain any and all easements for sewer, water, electric, telephone , gas , and cable utilities . (b) Before recording this Resolution, the owner of Parcel "A" (shown on the map attached hereto) must acquire the underlying fee title to Area "A, " and have the Grant Deed recorded. 3 . The City Clerk of the City of Redding be and hereby is directed to record a certified copy of this Resolution, attested to by the City Clerk under the seal of the City of Redding, in the office of the Shasta County Recorder. HAYS, fity Attorney r��/�® EGux26O®PAGE619 -2- f ' Order No. 80661 I i • The land referred to in this Report Is situated in the City of Redding, County of Shasta, State of California and is described as follows: AREA B: All that portion of Mullen Parkway as shown on the map of Lakewood Manors Subdivision, Unit 4, Phase 3, filed in Book 16 of Maps at page 81, Shasta County Records described as follows: Beginning at the most Northerly corner of Lot 59 as shown on said map; thence, South 42°21 '42" West (shown as North 41°59'39" East on said map) 69.74 feet; thence, Southerly, along the arc of 30.00 foot radius curve, concave to the East, having a central angle of 90°14'54", an arc length of 47.25 to the Northeasterly line of Creekside Drive as shown on said map; thence, along said Northeasterly line North 47°53' 12" West (shown as South 48°15°15" East on said map) 26.00 feet; thence Northwesterly along the arc of a tangent 30.00 foot radius curve concave to the East, having a central angle of 34°30'11", an arc length of 18.07 feet to a point on the Northwesterly line of said map; thence, along said Northwesterly line, North 48°34'57" East (shown as North 48°10'59" East on said map) 95.20 feet to a point on the Northeasterly line of said map; thence South 47°51 '17" East (shown as North 48°15'15" West on said map) 2.57 feet to the point of beginning. AREA A: All that portion of Mullen Parkway as shown on the map of Unit 1 of Bonnyview Meadows East Subdivision filed in Book 16 of Maps at page 72, Shasta County Records described as follows: Beginning at the most Northerly corner of Lakewood Manors Subdivision, Unit 4, Phase 3, as shown on the map filed in Book 16 of Maps at Page 81, Shasta County Records thence North 47°51 ' 17" West 23.43 feet; thence South 42°21 '42" West 69.76 feet, along a line parallel with and 30.00 feet Southeasterly of the centerline of Gunn Court (Mul len Parkway ) as shown on the map of Lakewood Manor Subdivision, Unit No. 5, filed in Book 19 of Maps at Page 20, Shasta County Records; thence Southerly, along the arc of 30.00 foot radius curve, concave to the East, having a central angle of 55°44'43", an arc length of 29. 19 feet to a point on the Southeasterly line of said Unit 1 of Bonnyview Meadows Subdivision; thence, along said Southeasterly line, North 48°34'57" East shown as North 48°10'53" East on said map 95.20 feet to the point of beginning.
