HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1990-165 - Declaring the results of the general municipal election '� • RESOLUTION NO. 7/-14<j' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF REDDING ON APRIL 10 , 1990 . WHEREAS , a General Municipal Election was duly held in the City of Redding on the 10th day of April, 1990 , for the purpose of electing three City Council Members and a City Clerk for a full term of four (4) years each; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Redding has canvassed the returns of said Election pursuant to law; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redding resolves, declares, and affixes as follows : 1 . That the persons receiving votes for the offices of Council Member and the total number of votes that each received are as follows: MEMBER, CITY COUNCIL TOTAL VOTES Mike Dahl 7 ,025 Charlie Moss 6 ,404 Carl Arness 5 , 657 Henry "Hank" Rogers 1 , 953 Mark Young 1 ,795 Tom Gordon 1 , 248 Rick Bosetti 915 Russell K. Hunt 828 Brenda A. Mariette 800 Joe Paulson 525 John Sears 390 Berga .C. (Bud) Linday, Sr. 327 . 2 . That the person receiving votes for the office of City Clerk and the total number of votes that she received are as follows: CITY CLERK TOTAL VOTES Ethel A. Nichols 6 , 015 . 3 . That the total number of electors voting at said Election was 10 , 112 ; and the total number of votes cast for the offices of Council Members and City Clerk was 33 ,798 . v { 410 . 110 4 . That the candidates receiving the highest number of votes for the office of Council Member are Mike Dahl, Charlie Moss , and Carl Arness . 5 . That the candidate receiving the highest number of votes for the office of City Clerk is Ethel A. Nichols . 6 . That the number of votes cast for each of the candidates for the offices of Council Member and the office of City Clerk at each precinct, and the absentees , are as set forth and shown on the tally attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. 7 . That Mike Dahl , Charlie Moss , and Carl Arness are hereby declared to have been elected as Council Members of the City of Redding for a full term of four (4) years each, effective April 17 , 1990 . 8 . That Ethel A. Nichols is hereby declared to have been elected as City Clerk of the City of Redding for a full term of four (4) years, effective April 17 , 1990 .
