ORDINANCE NO. 079‘5
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
AMENDING SECTION 18.06.020 OF THE REDDING MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO THE REZONING OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN THE CITY
OF REDDING (RZ-7-91) .
The City Council of the City of Redding does hereby ordain as follows:
Section 1. That the boundaries of the districts referred to in Section
18.06.020 of the Redding Municipal Code as designated on a Map entitled "Zoning Map
of the City of Redding, California," dated March 19, 1956, are hereby altered as set
forth in the map attached hereto and incorporated herein by:
REZONING: 5051 and 5075 Caterpillar Road
FROM: "M-2-F" Industrial District
TO: "M2-B20-F" Industrial District, SUBJECT TO the site plan
review criteria (1 through 7) attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference.
Section 2. City Council hereby ratifies the Negative Declaration prepared for
this project showing that it has no substantial impact upon the environment and that
an environmental impact report is not necessary.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance, and
cause its publication according to law.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was introduced and read at a
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Redding on the 5th day of
November , 1991, and was duly readand adopted on the 19th day of November. 1991, at a
regular meeting of the City Council by the following vote:

Site Plan Review Criteria
1. At the time of development of any parcel, all street frontages of the developing
parcel shall be improved with an irrigated landscape planter incorporating 15-
gallon, City-approved street trees. The planter shall be a minimum of 10 feet
wide adjacent to interior streets and 15 feet wide adjacent to Caterpillar Road.
Any area between the back of the sidewalk and the property line shall be
incorporated into the on-site planter. A landscaping plan is to be approved by
the Planning Department prior to issuance of a building permit.
2. At the time of development of any lot adjacent to Highway 273, 15-gallon
evergreen trees with an automatic irrigation system shall be planted in two rows
on staggered 60-foot centers adjacent to the highway right-of-way. The
property owner shall be responsible for the maintenance and replacement of the
trees as necessary.
3. No materials, supplies, finished products or semifinished products, raw materials
or equipment, except that equipment displayed for retail sales, including
company-owned or operated trucks and motor vehicles, shall be stored in any
area on a building site, except inside a closed building or behind a visual barrier
screening such areas from the view of the adjoining properties or streets, which
barrier shall be at least six feet in height.
4. Loading areas shall be adequately screened by a fence or planting screen.
5. The minimum building setback from interior streets, Caterpillar Road, and
Highway 273 shall be 15 feet.
6. All buildings shall be constructed of nonglare materials and be of earth-tone
colors approved by the Planning Department.
7. Any fencing along the east property line visible from Highway 273 shall be of
block post with wood insert construction.
