AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDDING
AMENDING SECTION 13 . 12. 070 OF THE REDDING MUNICIPAL
CODE PERTAINING TO WHEELED DEVICES IN POSTED AREAS.
The City Council of the City of Redding does hereby ordain
as follows:
Section 1. Section 13 . 12.070 of the Redding Municipal Code
is hereby deleted in its entirety and the following substituted
therefor:
13.12.070 Wheeled Devices in Posted Areas.
A. No person shall roller skate or use a skateboard or any
other wheeled devise propelled by human power, other
than a bicycle, in any public area posted against such
activities or uses. The provisions of this section
shall not apply to devices which are being used by or
for disabled persons.
B. The provisions of Section A shall apply to private
property open to the public if such property is
conspicuously posted against such use and referring to
this code section.
C. The Police Department shall require the motorized
signature of the owner, manager, or lessee of the
property on a "Consent to Enforcement" form, which
shall be kept on file at the Police Department, giving
to the Police Department the authorization to enforce
the restrictions of this section.
Section 2. It has been determined that this matter is
categorically exempt from the provisions of the California Q
Environmental Quality Act.

Section 3 . The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Ordinance and cause its publication according to law.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was introduced
and read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Redding on the 5th day of February , 1991 , and was duly read and
adopted on the 19th day of February , 1991, at a regular meeting
of the City Council by the following vote:
