to the Shasta Metro Enterprise Zone based upon the application to the
Department which committed the Cities of Redding and Anderson, and the
County of Shasta to encourage and facilitate job maintenance and
business and job development in the proposed Enterprise Zone through
a series of local incentives, projects and programs.
The Department of Commerce has notified the Cities of Redding and
Anderson, and the County of Shasta of its conditional designation,
specified the conditions which must be met prior to the award of final
designation, and set a deadline of January 20 , 1992 , for those
conditions to be met.
Certain conditions specified by the Department of Commerce, based on
the Shasta Metro Enterprise Zone application to the Department,
pertain to incentives, programs and projects which, by their nature,
are long term efforts on the part of the Cities of Redding and
Anderson, and the County of Shasta to revitalize the designated
